Shady areas were nice and without the protective blanket on him, he cooled down a bit in the shade. Their was a small hole through the tree tops that looked into the sky with some wild grass around them where they sat. A light breeze, soft grass, trickling water, a view and Ashlea made things perfect. He took a deep breath as he placed his hand behind his head and laid back to look skyward, his leg still up to where her arm could rest upon it.
"I could retire here," he thought aloud, "and one day I probably will. But there is much life and work to be done before that."
He looked over a bit. Ashlea's hair flowed down her back. He loved it. Forcefully yet carefully, he quickly reached up and pulled her face down on top of him. Without a word, he began kissing her again. Through her clothing,he could feel her curves against his bare skin. He said nothing, just wanting to be with her.
She looked across at him, as he made himself comfortable lying on the grass. He looked content, and this made her happy. She moved a few strands of hair out of her eyes, as she watched the horses grazing listening to him speak "It would be the perfect place to retire.. It has everything you need." As an afterthought she added "Once you do what it is you want to do with your life, you will be able to retire happy here."
Lost in thought and small talk, she flinched slightly as he pulled her onto him. Despite the care he had taken, he had startled her with how forceful he was. However it didn't take long for him to put her mind to ease again.
Resting on her elbows, she ran her hands through his hair as he kissed her. His touch gave her goosebumps, being close to him like this made her heart race. Time was once again lost, it was irrelevant in the moment, all that mattered was she was there with him. Despite being so unsure about everything, she knew one thing for certain - she wanted to be a part of his life.
Eventually she pulled away from the kiss, "John...' taking a breath, she shook her head slightly, making her hair fall loosely around her face. "I love you." She spoke quietly before biting her lip, now hoping that she wasn't being too forward.

He was taken aback by her declaration but didn't show it. Rather, he kept a face of loving concern as his open hand rested on her sides as he looked into her face, her hair serving as a sort of frame.
"Tell me something," he began to ask, "what is your full name, Ashlea? Keep in mind that if John Henry Holliday says it, that's it."
He just looked at her in admiration, knowing she would answer, his hands gently massaging her sides. Softly he said, "I just never thought I could fall in love with someone like this so quick."
She didn't hesitate, but she looked away as she spoke. She didn't like her name, it reminded her of a time in her life she couldn't go back to, a time when she was just a simple civilan, not a Rogue - but he wanted to know, so she told him. "Ashlea Marie Thompson."
She looked back at him after a moment, playing with his hair while smiling softly. She kissed him again, still lying on top of him. "You aren't the only one... I never thought it to be possible, or that I would let myself." Shaking her head slightly while speaking quietly she added "I don't regret it."

He shook his head, best as he could with the back of it on the ground, "I don't regret anything either. Working with you, coming here with you and now, falling in love with you." As he spoke, his open hands gently roamed her back.
He managed a slight smile, "Ashlea Marie Thompson, a pretty name in my opinion. I promise I'll only speak your name when we're together."
His hands continued massaging the skin of her back. It was smooth to the touch.
"I love you, Ashlea Marie," he softly declared, "my heart is yours."
He kept her close as he again began kissing her, forgetting where they were, the time, the horses, the kill on the skid....none of it mattered. He just wanted to enjoy his time with her, laying together in the wild grass, in the shade, where they had complete solitude.
She trusted him with her name, believing what he said about only speaking it when they were together. A part of her wished that it didn't have to be that way, but she was frightened of what would happen if she was found.
His touch was soothing, She could happily stay here, with him. It felt right.
"I love you, Ashlea Marie, my heart is yours."
She couldn't help but smile, promising to look after his heart. The two of them lay on the grass kissing. Eventually she reluctantly moved so she was lying beside him. "I want to stay here with you, I don't want to have to leave" she began, "But we have the horses here, and they will eventually need to get home."
Despite saying this, she didn't make an effort to get up. Instead she made herself comfortable, resting her head on his chest as she cuddled into him, closing her eyes.

Doc just lay still, his left hand behind his head holding it up a bit off of the ground, his right hand holding her tight around her back and his open hand on her side. It had been very long time since he felt relaxed. He just smiled a bit. It seemed that the best thing said was nothing at all so he let the light breeze and rustling trees make the only noise.
"We'll have all day tomorrow," he stated softly, "we can stay at the house or just walk off on our own..........and we'll have tonight as well."
He made no effort to move, only comforting her. Cuddling and kissing was what they both wanted. The horses drank from the nearby stream and ate tall grass. The only concern would be the slaughtered elk on the skid. At some point, they would have to get back so that he could properly treat it. Still, they were comfortable and he just enjoyed being with her.
"Not long until we have to return back to normality, huh?" she didn't want to think about what would happen once they returned. She knew getting a transfer out to watch over Foster would be simple enough - and easy to explain with all the work being done there, it only made sense.
"You are right, we still have tomorrow... I am sure no matter what we do, it will be just as good of a day as the past few have been." after a pause, she continued "For now, I want to live in this moment... And I wouldn't change this, not even a second, for the whole of Sirius." She moved, stealing a kiss before making herself comfortable again while cuddling into him, hiding her smile.

For the time, he just cuddled her, resting in the grass. He really didn't want to leave, get up or even let go but his own advice resonated and their kill needed to be handled before the night set in. Still, he held her. His feelings grew within.
"Tonight..." he said softly, "after I take care of the Elk, after a nice dinner....we'll have tonight."
He wanted to start getting up but realized that she was blocking it and he didn't say a word as his open hand massaged the bare skin of her back. He was lost and didn't know what else to say. He could do little more than give gentle kisses and enjoy the moment.
She felt him move and looked up, poking her tongue at him playfully "Time to carry on is it? She looked over at the horses before reluctantly sitting up, resting her hand on his leg again while running her free hand through her hair.
She looked out over the water and after a moment shook her head with a laugh "My legs gone to sleep"
