I can see the arguments for it, I suppose, but I've never had a problem killing even CAU8 salvagers. They usually just bot up once and then have no regens. Then again, I pirate with a bomber 9/10 times, so...maybe against transports the Salvager has more of a chance. Dunno, really.

Im not sure how that would be different for any of the bigger transports to be honest, especially the armored ones around 4k are no fun to kill. I really fail to see why we even need this discussion, there isnt anything wrong with the Salvager or Raba.

Those can be Nova'd, thrust slower ans don't have gunboat turrets.

hax
That guy you 'soloed' was either flying without a thruster or that CAU 8 was un-mounted. Or was a simple AU8.
It's simply impossible to kill a Salvager in a lone bomber. Especially with a CAU 8. That is, if the pilot of the Salvager isn't A.F.K.
What Haste said times two.

I mean if it were just small differences like, Cruiser and Destroyer or Gunboats and Gunships, ok, but a Frigate and a Transport are 2 different things. It's meant to survive longer.

It's survivability Frigate > Corvette > Gunboat
Alright, so if we were to give it the cargo space of a gunboat or cruiser, are you still going to argue for that distinction then?
I fly Salvagers myself, there's no question of losing fights or crying
I've just seen things from both sides of the encounter, and I feel the salvager has too many regens given it's current stats.
