Ok. So, here's a reason why I don't trust the system: The nurse that caught the virus from the Liberian guy was supposedly following CDC protocol when she got it. The thing is, the protective gear she was wearing was laughably minimal.
A short sleeve gown, gloves, goggles & an ear-loop mask
Hell even in Africa they have enough sense to duct tape their gloves to long sleeves & use more air tight surgical type masks
The other thing that was idiotic was, a haz-mat team was power washing & disinfecting the outside of the nurses apartment in full protective gear with a gaggle of onlookers filming it with their cellphones only about 12 feet away.
Call me crazy if you like, but if I were to see a dude in a haz-mat suit, I'd have enough common sense to keep my distance in a big way
People always want to see what happened or what is happening first hand. Its idiotic and annoying, but unfortunately you cant change it.
Its also like this with accidents. Before someone calls 1-1-2 (or 911 in different countries) there has been like 5 minutes of just looking, and yelling and stuff that is just meaningless.
I just cant stand it
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.

Frightening.
This is a topic about ebola.....and NOT about what people on drugs think......
Ya see Jax....I am not on any drugs at the moment....and what I think is that you are....
....Bah....Best I go get high, read the rest of the news briefs on my desk and try to avoid the nonessence patroling my day...
Here is some poetry for you as a parting gift...."Ode to a Grecian Urn" by John Keats.
Thou still unravish'd bride of quietness,
Thou foster-child of silence and slow time,
Sylvan historian, who canst thus express
A flowery tale more sweetly than our rhyme:
What leaf-fring'd legend haunts about thy shape
Of deities or mortals, or of both,
In Tempe or the dales of Arcady?
What men or gods are these? What maidens loth?
What mad pursuit? What struggle to escape?
What pipes and timbrels? What wild ecstasy?
Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard
Are sweeter; therefore, ye soft pipes, play on;
Not to the sensual ear, but, more endear'd,
Pipe to the spirit ditties of no tone:
Fair youth, beneath the trees, thou canst not leave
Thy song, nor ever can those trees be bare;
Bold Lover, never, never canst thou kiss,
Though winning near the goal yet, do not grieve;
She cannot fade, though thou hast not thy bliss,
For ever wilt thou love, and she be fair!
Ah, happy, happy boughs! that cannot shed
Your leaves, nor ever bid the Spring adieu;
And, happy melodist, unwearied,
For ever piping songs for ever new;
More happy love! more happy, happy love!
For ever warm and still to be enjoy'd,
For ever panting, and for ever young;
All breathing human passion far above,
That leaves a heart high-sorrowful and cloy'd,
A burning forehead, and a parching tongue.
Who are these coming to the sacrifice?
To what green altar, O mysterious priest,
Lead'st thou that heifer lowing at the skies,
And all her silken flanks with garlands drest?
What little town by river or sea shore,
Or mountain-built with peaceful citadel,
Is emptied of this folk, this pious morn?
And, little town, thy streets for evermore
Will silent be; and not a soul to tell
Why thou art desolate, can e'er return.
O Attic shape! Fair attitude! with brede
Of marble men and maidens overwrought,
With forest branches and the trodden weed;
Thou, silent form, dost tease us out of thought
As doth eternity: Cold Pastoral!
When old age shall this generation waste,
Thou shalt remain, in midst of other woe
Than ours, a friend to man, to whom thou say'st,
"Beauty is truth, truth beauty,—that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know."
"I learned a long time ago that reality was much weirder than anyone's imagination."
(Hunter S.T.)
I don't know what other people think on drugs all day, but when I'm on drugs, I tend to contemplate the somethingness of nothing...see, there really cant be any such thing as nothing, because the fact that we can conceptualize the definition of nothing as the absence of everything makes the very definition of nothing, something in and of itself...I mean, if we can conceptualize nothing as something we can define, then in reality, nothing is really something & no one has any idea what they're really talking about when they talk about it

Now, if I was one of those militantly rightwing conspiracy theorists that I hear you intriguing colonial gentlemen suffer in droves, I would possibly postulate that those "sterility protocols" have something to do with UNESCO/UN/Builderberg/Socialist/Liberal/Federalist enforced unconstitutional birth controls, and would hereby start yelling my proverbial off about how the Ebama pandemic is clearly just a staging point for one world government.
…being a liberal socialist/federalist, I merely wish good luck to you sir. Ebola shouldn't present too much of a danger so long as you keep clear of the infectees, but it's still terrifying. I remember when some of those closest to me got swine flue - can be a rough time.
You'll be okey dokie.
Oh, and trouser snake, Switzerland is not a neutral country. Look at all the ballistics holes in their cheeses.

Speaking of Marburg virus, totally independent of the Ebola outbreak in west Africa, over in Uganda in east Africa, one health care worker died of Marburg.
The article here is about a week old & I haven't seen any reports about any other deaths, but I've seen reports that about 90 people are in quarantine for it this week, but nothing specifically clear about other confirmed cases :hrug::
