Not really, BS hugging was always a valid tactic, and is (was) countered by long-range siege weaponry.
Go ask devteam why battleships can now only carry 20 missiles at a time and cruisers 30, or why combat design in this game is such that people would rather spam 0.09 DpE missiles than attempt to inflict damage on harassing snubcraft with anti-snub weapons.
Fighting in New Hampshire is a really lost cause. Moving ships back deep in Rheinland to fight pirates then get back to fight Libertonians is really a pain, not to mention that most players hide behind bases or NPC fleets which is definitely noobish.
If things are gonna be like this from now on, don't count on me. Too much of a waste of time.

That's no tactic, hence why they need to change the missiles like they were in .85/.86. Missiles are the answer for that so called "tactic".

Yes, Novas and cap missiles are only usefull weaponnary against basehuggers. But my mind will never take why battleship missile can have only 20 missiles with rr of 0.05 shots/s, when cruiser missile is literally better than bs one. Battleships are big, so I suppose they should be able to carry more missiles in bigger storage.

thing is missles are designed to be a cruiser weapon on long range fights against other player in bs or cruiser
but against npc its useless because most spawn when you are close to 3k or less to them

That's true. But 20/30 cap missiles are NOT enough and basically people will whine about them every way possible, like :
1. You run out of torps really quickly and if you go restock, people will scream "NOOB" at you whenever they see you. (talking about the current 25/30 max ammo)
2. If you have too many of them, people will whine because spam. (Like in the late .85)
3. Without them, you can't deal with base huggers and another drama episode about the huggers will start later on.
Point is, none of the options is acceptable because 1 of 2 factions have to suffer.
Personally, i dislike this balance. But i guess we all know -why- they took this decision and limitate the number.

It's NP, I totally agree that Leeds need nerf on this matter too.
And concerning the matter, it's not even infinite cores, it's just that they swarm you if you are not flying at your side of a system. If you ask me, to keep this system a hotspot as someone said here, let those patrols spawn somewhere in the middle between Rheinland and Liberty side. The rest of the system should be clear from such spawn. Because this so called front zone is just imposible for players to fight in.
well i had been reading all comments now and i cant understand why everyone is talking bad about this system...
sure there are huge amounts of strong npc's and its speacially hard to reach the mission waypoints when everyone is shooting at you, but for guys who love to make their money by fighting and missions this system is just right i think
RP really isn't easy there but if your fast enough this works quite good as well i think but its happening very rare as there are not many players there
if you got a group of two or more guys inside New Hampshire you can do great mission where you can earn alot of extramoney by collecting CruiserCommanders or Fleet Admirals
and i also got another point why i like this system... you never know whats coming... it might be one of the following patrols(in case your fighting against Liberty):
- 1 GB + 2 VHF
- 1 Siege Cruiser + 2 GB
- 1 Battlecruiser + 2 GB
- 1 Dread + 4 GB
if your in a group of 1 BS and 2-3 cruiser you earn alot of money
i'd love to see such a system between RH - Kusari, Kusari - Liberty, Kusari - Bretonia, RH - Bretonia, Liberty - Bretonia as well... maybe also between BH - The Order or anything like that
so think about it... if your a figther who doesn't want to trade or mine to get money this is the right system to go... sure you need great skill and maybe some friends to help you out but its a great system i think
