Rheinland Battleship is difficult to use against ships like the Jormungand, Overlord, and Murmillo. Bismarck has the hull and good arcs to kill them, but not the shape. If you play strategically, Bismarck will kick any of those 3 battleships I mentioned above.
Most Bismarck pilots prefer a Cloak, which puts you in good combat range to use your superior part of the ship, that being the hull, arcs, and power.
Some prefer the JD3, which in my opinion isn't fun for people fighting against you. With that, you can simply charge a fleet, jump out, and come back, and if you are with a fleet, the healthy fleet is now against a damaged one. So in some way, that is a smart tactic but it isn't supported by many.
So ya..no, don't change the Bismarck. Elbe would be decent, if it had heavy arcs firing back, since they don't, but then again, it's a Carrier, so it's not meant to go fight Dreadnoughts/Battleships. I've seen some good Elbe pilots, using simple strafing and the impulse speed to keep at the same range, while killing someone with 4 prims ( which are good ).
If any changes...then probably Elbe ( it's pretty ugly imo ), but not the Bismarck. It's a vanilla ship, and it is a great ship, so there wouldn't be any point in wasting time to change it.
Vanilla is called vanilla for a reason! You don't change / reinvent the vanilla ice cream because that's it, it is vanilla flavour an original, a classic something not to be touched...
