People need to realize that critique is a positive thing. It drives things forward and promotes creativity. +1'ers and yay-sayers is what people should watch out for - if they ruled the world, we'd still think the Earth was flat and the centre of the universe.
Most people that are "negative" and "complain" do so out of a genuine interest in and maybe even love for the mod. They criticize the direction things take because they don't want more harm done to the mod they care for and enjoyed for years.
So in a way, critique is the greatest form of appreciation there is.

I do believe that those people went out and proved that a) the World wasn't flat, and b) wasn't the Centre of the Universe.
Maybe I should have highlighted the important word in the sentence. I will correct that now. See below:

As for Critiquing work that has been done by others, generally it is better to do a Critique that has both negative and positive aspects to it. If a Critique is all negative then that generally leaves the receiving person feeling that they are of little worth.

The problem with people's Critiques is that, in this Game, there is no definitive right or wrong. I.e. POBs - to some, these are a big mistake to others they add to the Game. It is all a matter of opinion. Does it mean that people who believe that POBs should be in the Game have any less 'love' for it? I believe the answer to that is NO.

This may be true but it depends on how the Critique is a) given and b) how it is received.
The problem is that some people seem to believe that if they shout the loudest, about things they disagree with, then they must be right. Or even if they say it often enough then it must be right.
Some people, who enjoy this Game, see things that they don't like but are willing to accept the flaws. They may even occasionally voice an opinion on the subject. But it gets beyond a joke to, constantly, hear the same people complain about the same subjects time after time. Each of us is one person in a Community of hundreds, none of us is more important than the others.
Life is a female dog. We can't always get what we want when we want it. The World does not revolve around us as individuals, even though some would like to think it does.
So this thread, designed to show our appreciation, is a small counterbalance against all the threads that berate the Admins, Devs and Mods for one reason or another.
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person

Idk, personally I would feel somewhat insulted if someone tried to accompany my flu sting with a lollipop so to speak.

Critique usually have a way of being open-ended, it's more of a process than an end-result. Regarding the POB's, for instance, the outcome and opinions won't be shaped by 1 definitive post, but by the combined inputs from a long string of threads. It is however not solely a matter of opinion, it's also one of reason and common sense.

Where do you get that from? I see a forum full of opinionated individuals with different approaches to the subject. Some write 'standalone' forum posts that present a problem and outline the solution, others engage directly in debate with other players with opposite opinions. Both are valid approaches in the quest for knowledge, and you can't fault people for your inability to filter what you read.

I think each and everyone of us are, otherwise we wouldn't be playing a decade old game, now would we?

Who doesn't agree with that?

Are you telling me that you still don't understand that when admins, devs and mods gets 'berated' (as in, exposed to criticism - not mad Karlotta-style rage), it is a form of appreciation in that there is a genuine wish for improvements for all of the community and a firm belief that dialogue and critique can influence said admins, devs and mods positively?
