Somebody is in bad mood today, it seems. If you can´t discuss reasonably, maybe you should take a break.

In any case, indies are oppressed. Why should ONE have more advantages in game than the OTHER player?
Wow, that escalated quickly. Admins could go easy way and restrict indies, that would be oppresion. Instead they tried to provide something extra to officials while not touching indies. Not even that, they try to motivate officials to create perks which indies can profit from too. Yet somebody is unhappy even with that and again is calling "oppresion!". Will you bring "final nail!" too?
You guys seem to be extremely focused on perks being tied to activity. While it is true in a way, I'd like to believe it's rather tied to your impact on your server. There are many ways to have an impact on the server that do not require you to have 10 days of activity.
A faction like RFP, that yes, sadly, is not as active as we'd like, still has a positive impact by taking care of the rheinland laws and general regulations of rheinland. I have no doubt the five members rule can be bend in this case, but that's up to the admins, not me.

bad example...
but ok
the only point i see here is that there would be less indies because officals will have it easy? If you look at the perks... it's not that OP as you think.
Edit: Also i forgot i was STILL logged into this account.

I as well would like to think activity does not have as much importance as I fear it has, but I cannot be sure without some clarification. Right now activity is listed as a requirement to gain a perk and inactivity as a potential reason to lose one. That's what we have at this point.
Quote:Obviously, Mining factions should be able to benefit the most from the mining perk, Trading factions less so and Military/Police/Unlawful the least, but still possible.
What kind of bonus will be handled to unlawful mining factions? Read: hessians and mollys.
Other than trading/mining ones, those perks aren't something new. But now they have organised structure of achieving.

The sort of bonus said factions will submit to the admin team.

My major gripe with a perk system is that it implicitly transforms the role and influence of administration. Rather than being invisible, neutral, caretakers of the rules, the janitors of the community and server, they become someone to court and make oneself and the faction appealing to. There's a latent conflict there, and I think the mixing of roles is far from ideal. The rules themselves are already open to a range of subjective (and changing!) interpretations. I'm not implying ill will or foul play, but we're all just humans and thus sensitive to social influence.
Since APM makes guns and ships, what first comes to mind is that Core could introduce a new commodity related to that. However, is there any chance Core could introduce equipment instead, such as guns?
