Am interested to see how the economy will change in Inverness when it is no longer an easy shortcut to the Taus and has instead been given a direct route into Rheinland via Kansas/Vesp/Saar, change is always a fun new challenge.
I am surprised though that the O-80 and other buffer systems aren't being chopped having the borderworlds be 'overcrowded' piracy hotspots was more fun and far more realistic than House-sized buffer zones.
Kinda disappointing, especially when Sigmas now connect to Liberty o.0 not that adding connections or new gameplay hostpots is a bad thing, but im pretty sure 99% of players who enjoy the borderworlds would agree that less is more, and these chokepoints/traffic areas are too few and far between

Talking with the devs about the Magellan-Stuttgart route...
It's going to be 200k+ route full of HF & LWB NPC's. It is much faster to use Omegas or Liberty due to trade lanes. It also gives legitimate purpose to otherwise dead and useless two systems, which I believe has been a point requested by community over and over. Also, the powertraders will hoard the fastest route aka trade lanes so no loss to the pirates.

If NPCs will be wihtout CD, AFK cruising is poossible.
Unless you get friendly to HF, there's still battleship ravager at the entrance ready to blast all those fancy powertraders. Additionally several secondary navigational hazards including high radiation and sun right in the middle.
These all seem like pretty cool changes. I think that it'll be really interesting to see the basic routes for trade and travel switching up so majorly as they are.
IIRC, doesn't Liberty already connect to the Sigmas? I've checked FLcompanion, and Ellesmere currently has a connection to Sigma-59. All that's really changing is those two systems are getting deguarded and perhaps gaining a few more jump links...but, regardless, the presence of new paths around Sirius is a pretty cool idea, and one I support fairly whole-heartedly.
None of these seem like they're going to be instant easy paths for traders, either. I imagine trade lanes will still be the safer (and perhaps even faster) bet.

Yes, Ellesmere is connected to the Sigma 59. It's one of the changes in 4.88 which was introduced last month. And yes, only a few changes there with the new update. But still, a connection there would take away even more activity in an already dead House aka Kusari if you ask me. Especially with a Okinawa - Sigma 59 connection. I really don't get why adding routes around houses are a good thing.
Humboldt - Removed. Fortaleza Base moved to Kansas. Ore fields moved to Vespucci.
Vespucci - Layout revised. Now open to all friendly to the Legion, Vespucci's resources are free to be exploited. America Base serves as a freeport for vagabonds and traders, and the completion of Guadalajara's docking ring will allow for refugees from the Gallic war front to settle in relative peace.
So with this change it completely nullifies our POB in Humboldt known as "Saltese".
We've done tons of RP related to this base as an ore production facility.
Additionally it serves as a high end casino known as "Silver City".
It was built and used to buy/sell silver and copper ore.
Generating loads of RP and activity over the years.
What is to become of our historical and relevant RP POB built back in 2013?
Tons of work and RP has been done by many different players involving multiple factions. Saltese's base registration page. Silver City Casino

if your base was a jumphole blocking fortress like 90% of the other bases you tried to build then you can have this much sympathy.
It actually didn't, it was in the middle (and still is, for now) of a mining field. Though it rendered anyone who wished to go there while being hostile to Saltese in order to pirate impossible.
It's like the Molly case - you have a base that sits on a location that makes it block activity? Don't moan when the activity is moved elsewhere, often because of that base (in the Molly case, Omega-49 Jump Hole). I for one think that PoBs shouldn't be able to be deployed in distance <6k from any solar, except maybe nebulas or ore-less fields.
