Flora, the Gaian pilot sometimes lurking in core systems, was around again. No offense reported, and she seemed to be hunting wildlife smugglers. Or at least she was careful not to hunt any of her Majesties civilians or allies near my scanning posts.
Also I have 2 [two] suspicious ships to report :
1) Freelancer ID, transponder of Friezza . Flying a gallic Taureau assault transport.
No suspicious cargo, and no specific gallic weaponry.
I informed him of Paragraph 3.13 - Ships Manufactured by Hostile Nations and advised him to either change Identification, change ship or apply for a special allowance with Bretonian Authority.
3.13 - Ships Manufactured by Hostile Nations
Anyone found flying ships produced by Bretonia's enemies will be halted and questioned about their activities. Mere possession of such a ship without corresponding ID papers constitutes as sufficient grounds for fines, prosecution or arrest. Vessels acting in contravention of this order will face a minimum fine of 2,000,000 credits and immediate expulsion from Bretonian borders or impounding. Banned ship lines include:
Corsair ships
Gaian ships
Gallic Military ships
Gallic civilian ships (unless flown by The Council)
Hogosha/Farmers Alliance ships (unless flown by Kusari Exiles)
Pirate Transport, Train and Pilgrim Liners (unless flown by friendly, allied or Junker entities)
*
2) A suspicious and silent ship, seemingly flying with automatic systems, was repeatedly sighted near Planet New London : AI transponder : Ai-Orphan-Miner#1
I attempted no contact and ask for this to be either investigated or passed on to BIS.
I will end my Patrol at Newbury Impound Complex , transferring some so far unindentified Molly prisoners harassing the lanes . Their Ships have been decomissioned.
This is my first patrol report in Bretonia Police Authority! So I hope everything will be fine and you will enjoy reading my first adventures!
I purchased my "Hussar" Light Fighter and flew to the New London planet where I found a Train with some Gaians on board, so I asked captain if he can give me Gaians, so I could bring them to Newgate! And huh! My first successful co-operation! Yay!
Then on my way to Southampton where BMM engineers prepared lights for my lil' Hussar, I met well known case of Officer Barnikel! Freelancer with Gallic transport and he seemed to be drunk. But my sensors caught a ship full of Gaian Wildlife, so I let him go with a warning! And yay! In Cambridge I caught Bretonian Train with Gaian Wildlife! He refused to stop, even when I shot warning shots! So I had to arrest him, but another"Serenity" transport with Wildlife arrived and refused to stop as well. And, and he gave nanobots and Batteries to Train, so I turned my eye on him and eliminated his ship instead! His friend left him alone and didn't help him, hah! However I caught Bretonian Train docking to Cardiff, I couldn't do much but shrug!

This pertains to firing on individuals, ships, installations or infrastructure, i.e. a BAF Templar, King's Cross Station, Kensington's cargo depots
thank you Constable Barnikel for the felicitations.
I have to confess our boss was a very difficult target to hit and not easy to overhelm.
It was very close especially because of my strange skill to hit really every mine flying around, yes, my own as well.
Constable Wolker, well done on your first patrol. Keep up the good work!
Well now to Bretonia's safety, we found a straying Artificial Intelligence destroyer named "Angsthase". That computer was, let's say, a little weird. He did not understand why he is not allowed to fly around here in that ship with that hughe armory. The AI then was escorted out of Bretonian space to the Omegas. The second weird thing was that this AI had no idea how to cruise or to use the lanes and it took a very very long time to tiptoeing trough space. Perhaps he was afraid haha *coughs*
Proof:
Furthermore we stopped a Gaian Wildlife smuggler named "hype.train" and rescued that pets to BMM base Southampton Shipyard. BMM or BMF will take care to bring them back to Gaia safely.
It was kinda silly day, again. First I tried to catch some Wildlife smugglers without a success, as always they are soooo cheeeky huh!
I received a call from Planetform transport in Dublin, who asked me for escort to Planet Harris and back. We started near Battleship Hood and slowly we flew into Edinburgh and Tau-31 system where Planetform employees Simon and Fiona got their new cargo, Gaian Wildlife. Then we flew back through Edinburgh and Dublin, suddenly in New London I found two AFC, but I didn't know what to do, I just heard something about them on the station.
We arrived to Cambridge gate and I decided to escort Planetform transport to Omega-7 gate, where they told me they will be back soon so if I have nothing to do, then I can wait. However signal was too weak and I thought I lost them for a while.
They found me near Omega-7 gate and we flew back to Bretonia, near Cambridge gate in London, my scanner caught transport with Gaian Wildlife, to my surprise it was TAZ transport who didn't know about license system. He was fined and wildlife moved to New London, where we met strange Freelancer with Republican transponder and Corsair freighter with Corsair equipment. We tried to establish contact with unknown pilot but he opened fire and attacked me, we arrested this Freelancer with help of Armed Forces pilot.
Then we resumed our convoy to Tau-31 and on our way back to Stuttgart I finished my duty on Norfolk.
3.12 - Equipment Produced by Hostile Nations
Anyone found utilising equipment produced by Bretonia's enemies will be halted and questioned about their activities. Mere possession of such equipment without corresponding ID papers constitutes as sufficient grounds for fines, prosecution or arrest. is the Boss back from his vacation yet? I hope he is not going to be even less recovered because of all that room service!
Well, again to Bretonia's safety, I found that Zoner warship "Mr.Bajas" flying around in New London and escorted him out of Bretonian space. He stunbled something from "Want to assist you in the war" and "Where is the battlefield". He was a little confused and not neutral.
Proof:
Furthermore I stopped a Gaian Wildlife smuggler named "(Synth)Saccharine" and rescued that pets to New London planet. BMM or BMF will take care to bring them back to Gaia safely. As he really love one of the wildlife and it seems to be his pet I turned a blind eye on that one. He even had names for it and told me what he is going to feed to him. Strange captains that wildlife smugglers.
Today was a very busy day. Myself and Constable Mr. Smith manage to apprehend 4 smugglers in a very short time.
It started when I noticed a name from a recent Report, from Constable Mr. Smith, in which he had caught a Smuggler of Gaian Wildlife ((Synth)Saccharine). I decided to see if I could find this Ship which was in New London. I sat near the New London to Cambridge Jump Gate waiting for it to turn up. Next thing it was in Cambridge and so I jumped through the Gate. I contacted Constable Mr. Smith and told him that I might need some help. In the mean time I travelled down the Trade Lane to Cardiff hoping to catch the quarry on Scanners. Half way down the Trade Lane, playing on a hunch, I cut out of the Lane and cut towards the Jump Hole to Omega 3. I kept Constable Mr. Smith of my whereabouts and my hunch. My hunch paid dividends as I soon caught on Scanners the quarry. Once I was close enough I told the quarry to cut his engines. At first he didn’t, but as I started to get closer, he obviously decided that he wasn’t going to get away and cut his engines. As I approached I noticed that there were 1060 Gaian Wildlife floating in Space.
[25.02.2015 22:29:52] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: (Synth)Saccharine Please cut your engines, this is the Police
[25.02.2015 22:30:14] (Synth)Saccharine: Sure!
[25.02.2015 22:30:17] (Synth)Saccharine: I, uh...
[25.02.2015 22:30:20] (Synth)Saccharine: HM!
[25.02.2015 22:30:25] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Good evening Sir
[25.02.2015 22:30:30] (Synth)Saccharine: What's that there? absolutely nothing.
[25.02.2015 22:30:34] (Synth)Saccharine: That's what.
[25.02.2015 22:30:54] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Oh, Have we dumped the Wildlife, Sir?
[25.02.2015 22:31:10] (Synth)Saccharine: I totally wasn't just in the middle of doing... a thing... with that thing there that's probably nothing.
[25.02.2015 22:31:12] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: I would suggest that you tractor them in before they die
[25.02.2015 22:31:19] (Synth)Saccharine: Yeeeeeeeah good point.
[25.02.2015 22:31:31] (Synth)Saccharine: I mean, the cases oughta be airtight...
[25.02.2015 22:31:36] (Synth)Saccharine: But better safe than sorry.
[25.02.2015 22:32:06] (Synth)Saccharine: By which I mean "wait what I have no idea what's in these thnigs"
[25.02.2015 22:32:06] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: No, Sir, one of the other Constables was nice enough to allow you 1 Gaian Wildlife but you appear to have a few more
[25.02.2015 22:32:12] (Synth)Saccharine: And also "How did they ge here?"
[25.02.2015 22:32:26] (Synth)Saccharine: Yeah, see... ever heard of Tribbles?
[25.02.2015 22:32:34] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: I wouldn't know Sir *smiles*
[25.02.2015 22:32:55] (Synth)Saccharine: Me neither, come to think of it. But whatever the deal is with them is probably what happened here.
[25.02.2015 22:33:10] (Synth)Saccharine: Teddison Ronginald got wet or I fed him after midnight and BOOM.
[25.02.2015 22:33:28] (Synth)Saccharine: There's like a bajillion Teddisons running around my cargo bay.
[25.02.2015 22:33:31] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Isn't it a major coincidence that I meet you here and lo and behold some Gaian Wildlife just happen to be here aswell?
[25.02.2015 22:33:33] (Synth)Saccharine: I didn't know what to do!
[25.02.2015 22:33:53] (Synth)Saccharine: Well yeah I mean I might as well come clean about THAT part now.
[25.02.2015 22:34:11] (Synth)Saccharine: But like I said, they're all some sort of inexplicable clones of that one pet I had.
[25.02.2015 22:34:12] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Aristotle Please cut your engines, this is the Police
[25.02.2015 22:34:36] (Synth)Saccharine: Hell, maybe that guy has even MORE duplicate Teddisons!
[25.02.2015 22:34:52] (Synth)Saccharine: I don't know how this critter works. Duplication AND teleportation?
[25.02.2015 22:34:56] (Synth)Saccharine: Who knows!
[25.02.2015 22:35:02] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Smith cn you deal with Aristoyle please
[25.02.2015 22:36:12] (Synth)Saccharine: I dunno. Let me go so I can get Teddison and all his new friends safely back to my apartment?
[25.02.2015 22:36:24] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: I think we have you banged to rights on the smuggling charge. What say you Sir?
[25.02.2015 22:36:36] (Synth)Saccharine: It's like that movie, "101 Gaian Dalmations" up in here.
[25.02.2015 22:37:32] John.Locke: Good day. Who is allowed to travel with Gaian wildlife?
[25.02.2015 22:37:40] (Synth)Saccharine: I say my only crime is taking a leisurely stroll... er, flight, with my adorable pet Teddison and having Teddison inexplicably
[25.02.2015 22:37:44] (Synth)Saccharine: duplicate himself in my hold
[25.02.2015 22:37:47] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Well, I think the fine of 4 million credits should cover it Sir, and we will get them off loaded at Cardiff
[25.02.2015 22:37:47] (Synth)Saccharine: However.
[25.02.2015 22:38:13] (Synth)Saccharine: Well... I... yeah.
[25.02.2015 22:38:20] (Synth)Saccharine: Okay. Sounds reasonable.
[25.02.2015 22:38:52] You have received 4.000.000 credits from (Synth)Saccharine
[25.02.2015 22:39:14] (Synth)Saccharine: So. Cardiff, then?
[25.02.2015 22:39:23] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Thank you Sir and please head to Cardiff where we will get them off your hands
[25.02.2015 22:39:33] (Synth)Saccharine: Gotcha.
[25.02.2015 22:39:57] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: And don't let us catch you again Sir
[25.02.2015 22:40:16] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: I will be back
[25.02.2015 22:40:23] (Synth)Saccharine: Don't worry, officer. It's back to my normal paste routes from here on.
[25.02.2015 22:40:41] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Would be advisable,Sir
[25.02.2015 22:40:58] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: To many coincidences
[25.02.2015 22:41:04] (Synth)Saccharine: Though in a sense I never did stop making those routes... ingredients and whatnot...
[25.02.2015 22:41:56] 2015-02-25 22:41:58 SMT Traffic control alert: (Synth)Saccharine has requested to dock
[25.02.2015 22:42:09] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Evening Sir
[25.02.2015 22:42:15] John.Locke: Evening.
[25.02.2015 22:42:39] (Synth)Saccharine: Welp, guess it's time to invent a new Beryllium-flavored paste.
[25.02.2015 22:42:46] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: That is a better cargo Sir.
[25.02.2015 22:42:59] John.Locke: That would be one weird paste...
[25.02.2015 22:43:02] (Synth)Saccharine: Seeya around, officer.
[25.02.2015 22:43:04] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Have a safe flight and now for the Artifact smuggler
[25.02.2015 22:43:15] John.Locke: Need help?
[25.02.2015 22:43:26] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: More the merrier Sir
At this time another ship appeared on my Scanners (Aristotle) and seeing it was quite away from the Trade Lanes I gave the command for it to cut its engines. Seeing it was about 8k away I was very surprised that it complied (wonders will never cease!). At this time Constable Mr. Smith also came on Scanners and so I directed him to investigate the second Ship whilst I carried on with the first one. (Synth)Saccharine paid the fine and was escorted to Cardiff where he dropped of the Gaian Wildlife. At this time a BAF Officer (John.Locke) turned up and joined me as I returned to Constable Mr.Smith.
[25.02.2015 22:34:39] BPA)Mr.Smith: Sir I will do a cargo scan
[25.02.2015 22:34:48] BPA)Mr.Smith: Artifacts are bad yes?
[25.02.2015 22:35:02] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Smith cn you deal with Aristoyle please
[25.02.2015 22:35:08] BPA)Mr.Smith: Sir you know that you have artifacts in your cargo?
[25.02.2015 22:35:11] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: can*
[25.02.2015 22:35:43] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: So, Sir, What shall we do with you?
[25.02.2015 22:36:08] BPA)Mr.Smith: What to do with an artifacts smuggler?
[25.02.2015 22:36:25] BPA)Mr.Smith: Sir you know what you carry?=
[25.02.2015 22:36:42] Aristotle: Im not exactly sure
[25.02.2015 22:36:57] Aristotle: What this is used exactly for
[25.02.2015 22:36:59] BPA)Mr.Smith: Well it looks like you have some artifacts in your cargo sir
[25.02.2015 22:37:22] Aristotle: i heared they use it as rings and precious gifts in manhatten
[25.02.2015 22:37:44] Aristotle: like diamaonds, the absolute have to in certain circles
[25.02.2015 22:38:08] BPA)Mr.Smith: Damn where is that Bretonian Law website aaahrgh
[25.02.2015 22:38:16] BPA)Mr.Smith: Well, no Sir, that are not diamonds.
[25.02.2015 22:39:01] Aristotle: Really? Im in a Business where iim not asking too much questions , but they look like shiny purple balls
[25.02.2015 22:39:18] Aristotle: with some nice writings on them
[25.02.2015 22:39:30] Aristotle: no idea what it measn, though
[25.02.2015 22:39:40] BPA)Mr.Smith: So Bretonian law demands that you have to pay 500k credits per 1k of Artifacts
[25.02.2015 22:40:21] BPA)Mr.Smith: I count 3.5K so the fine is .. well round it up to
[25.02.2015 22:40:27] BPA)Mr.Smith: ok
On the way back I was contacted by Constable Mr. Smith and told that that the Captain of the Aristotle seemed to be reluctant to drop his cargo. But unluckily for him we turned up shortly afterwards and I think that the Captain decided that discretion was the best of valour and promptly complied to all the demands.
[25.02.2015 22:43:44] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: On my way to you
[25.02.2015 22:43:53] John.Locke: And who would the artifact smuggler be ?
[25.02.2015 22:43:55] BPA)Mr.Smith: He does not want to drop them
[25.02.2015 22:44:01] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: How are you doing Smith?
[25.02.2015 22:44:21] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Tell him his ship will be destroyed then
[25.02.2015 22:44:21] Aristotle: well
[25.02.2015 22:44:27] Aristotle: looks like im cornered
[25.02.2015 22:44:32] BPA)Mr.Smith: Allright Sir, that smuggler does not comply yet
[25.02.2015 22:44:55] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: I am sure he will change his mind soon
[25.02.2015 22:45:01] BPA)Mr.Smith: Sir, you can have your ship destroyed, or you pay that fine and drop that cargo
[25.02.2015 22:45:10] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Evening Sir
[25.02.2015 22:45:16] John.Locke: Evening.
[25.02.2015 22:45:23] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: So, what is the problem?
[25.02.2015 22:45:38] Aristotle: What a waste
[25.02.2015 22:45:50] John.Locke: I see the artifacts are dropped. A smart smuggler, strange.
[25.02.2015 22:45:50] BPA)Mr.Smith: Well think about it sooner sir next time
[25.02.2015 22:45:56] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Waste, Sir?
[25.02.2015 22:46:18] BPA)Mr.Smith: Thank you very much Sir, you are free to go

[25.02.2015 22:46:19] Aristotle: Nevermind am i free to go sir?
[25.02.2015 22:46:25] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: And now they are gone. Has he paid his fine?
[25.02.2015 22:46:31] BPA)Mr.Smith: He did Boss
[25.02.2015 22:46:34] Aristotle: "Thank you very much"*grim*
[25.02.2015 22:46:45] BPA)Mr.Smith: Safe flight Sir
[25.02.2015 22:46:49] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Don't let us catch you again Sir
[25.02.2015 22:46:59] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Safe journey Sir
[25.02.2015 22:46:59] Alpha-1: hello sir
[25.02.2015 22:47:01] Aristotle: You wont catch me again
[25.02.2015 22:47:07] John.Locke: Anyone want to be he is going to be smuggling again, tomorrow?
On our way back to the Trade Lane we were all discussing how we had managed to catch 2 Smugglers in such a short time when suddenly I picked up a Junker Ship (.:j:.Chaotic_Assumption), on TLAGSNET, carrying Arifacts travelling through Cambridge. As luck would have it he was heading straight to where we were about to join the Trade Lane. I disrupted the Trade Lane and a few seconds later the Junker appeared on scanners and was then dropped out of the Trade Lane. After a conversation he dropped the Artifacts and paid the fine. He was very compliant and was no trouble at all.
We escorted him to the Jump Gate to New London and bid him a safe journey.
[25.02.2015 22:48:38] BPA)Mr.Smith: So Boss two smugglers in 2 minutes here?
[25.02.2015 22:48:44] BPA)Mr.Smith: We shoudl do some more patrols here
[25.02.2015 22:49:06] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: I think the second was just very unlucky for him anyway *laughs*
[25.02.2015 22:49:23] BPA)Mr.Smith: Sir is that Armed FOrces guy allowed to assist us?

[25.02.2015 22:50:06] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Lets see what else we can catch
[25.02.2015 22:50:12] BPA)Mr.Smith: So as we are three now where are the big guys?

[25.02.2015 22:58:53] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: Have you ever heard of the tickets out of Alpha?

[25.02.2015 22:59:08] John.Locke: Or outcasts, or whoever supplies those things?
[25.02.2015 22:59:13] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Never been to Alpha Sir
[25.02.2015 22:59:20] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: Outcasts, supply Cardamine.

[25.02.2015 22:59:39] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: Same with Corsairs.
[25.02.2015 22:59:41] John.Locke: You have quite the vast knowledge on banned goods.

[25.02.2015 23:00:18] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Well, Sir, if you leave with the stuff, you don't come in to Bretonia with it. It is rather easy to understand, Sir
[25.02.2015 23:00:19] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: This is all a base of survival.
[25.02.2015 23:00:27] John.Locke: And destroyed them after escaping, I suppose?
[25.02.2015 23:00:36] Alpha-1: avoid the houses if you want to smuggle btw
[25.02.2015 23:00:47] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: It is understanding to remember as long as you don't forget it is aboard.
[25.02.2015 23:01:19] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Go through Rheinland but don't bring them to Bretonia is all I can say Sir
[25.02.2015 23:01:24] John.Locke: I will go check the lanes a bit.

[25.02.2015 23:02:22] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Well, Sir, next time get rid of them before coming in to Bretonia
[25.02.2015 23:02:26] John.Locke: The Bretonians told me to go through here officer. It is not my fault
[25.02.2015 23:02:30] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: For a Bretonian, you seem to know a lot about it.
[25.02.2015 23:02:40] Alpha-1: umm....
[25.02.2015 23:02:49] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: Waldorf, may I ask a favor since I was quite compliant?

[25.02.2015 23:03:57] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: Do you think in anyway we could exclude this from the records?
[25.02.2015 23:04:11] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: My people have had enough issues as it is.
[25.02.2015 23:04:21] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: I have been trying my hardest to stay out of trouble.

[25.02.2015 23:05:01] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: Sir, it is a bit diffcult because it was two Police Officers involved but also 2 Bretonian Armed Forces Officers here as ell
[25.02.2015 23:05:51] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: I see the issues here. Yet, is there anyway to do this without causing a stir?
[25.02.2015 23:06:13] BPA)Waldorf.Salad: It is a bit difficult to cover up, Sir. I will put in my report that you were very compliant, Sir
[25.02.2015 23:06:41] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: I appreciate your concerning sentament.
[25.02.2015 23:06:47] .:j:.Chaotic_Assumption: Thank you sir.

[25.02.2015 23:08:45] John.Locke: Not every day you get some dirt on the Junkers?
About 7 minutes later, once we were, back in New London and heading towards Newcastle a TLAGSNET signal reported that a Ship (GalaxyTrader) was carrying Gaian Wildlife. Myself and John Locke jumped in to Newcastle but it must have been at the same time as he jumped in to New London. After a bit of a chase we Constable Mr. Smith managed to corner the ship at the Jump Gate to Cambridge. The Captain was compliant, but that was after a half-hearted attempt at a Bribe. He paid his fine and was escorted to Planet New London where the Gaian Wildlife was dropped off.

'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person
A small step for Smith, but a big step for Bretonia and Bretonia Police Authority!
The King is dethoroned, long live the king.
Now, after becoming the most active figther for justice and safety in whole Bretonia there will be major changes.
The first ...... an Apfelstrudel and Gaian Wildlife Meatball party with Rosie Lee tea and much much Gin and of course real pirate girls dancing on every table. Do not touch them lads they are tough!
Yesterday I and offcer Catharty helped Bretonian Armed Forces in New London, against Gallic Royal Navy and their allies. I am surprised, we won this battle, I even SCORED for Police!!. I think we lost just one Colonial or Council unit and Gallic Navy lost almost all ships. Otherwise I've again escorted Planetform transport, piloted by Simon and Fiona. Sooo far soooo gooooooood.
I have, as far as I am concerned, a sad and also, at the same time, disturbing Report to make.
Yesterday, 20-3-822, I was on Patrol in New London when I picked up, on TLAGSNET, a scan showing that a ship was carrying Black Market Munitions (BMMs). The Ship was part of the BES-, a subsidiary of Bowex, which was rather puzzling. But knowing that TLAGSNET is sometimes temperamental I decided to check it out. The Ship was in Cambridge and appeared to be heading towards New London. I called Constable Smith, who was also out on Patrol to back me up as I headed to the New London-Cambridge Jump Gate. Shortly after I arrived a Ship, BES-Insufferable, came through the Gate. A quick scan, of the Clydesdale, revealed that it was indeed carrying BMMs.
I proceeded to question him whilst waiting for Smith to turn up. It appeared that this Captain didn't see anything wrong with supplying, as he admitted to me, cheap ammunition and by his own words he didn't deny they were substandard. His defence was that it was all his pocket could afford. Though this Captain may have had the best intentions, I did inform him that they were illegal in Bretonia and even worse a potential threat to our Boys fighting on Leeds.
At about this time Constable Smith turned up and about a minute later, whilst I was still questioning the misguided Smuggler another Ship came through the Jump Gate, from Cambridge. This ship, BES-Irremediable a Shire was, after a quick scan, was also seen to be carrying BMMs. He was promptly requested to cut his engines as well.
The Captain of the Shire seemed to be in charge as he referred to the Captain of the BES-Insufferable as his Employee. This Captain over quite a few minutes told us that there was nothing wrong with the ammunition, that Bowex had a 'Special Charter' that allowed them to haul BMMs. Supposedly the Queen, BAF and BPA all know about it and allow Bowex to break the Law. I know I am just a Constable, as is Constable Smith, but neither of us have been told that this is the case. Going on my knowledge of the Law I informed both Captains that they had to drop their Cargoes and pay the fines.
After a while in which the Captains called in to question our ability as Constables, told us they were regularly escorted by the BAF on their BMM runs, that Bowex has this 'Charter' the Captain of the BES-Irremediable refused to follow me to Poole, where I was going to impound his Ship and place him under arrest, and decided to fly off towards Planet Dover.
I gave the Captain many opportunities to comply with my demands and he seemed bullheaded enough to disregard all of them. Whilst I followed the Ship to try and talk reason to the Captain, Constable Smith went to get his Bomber. I will let you read the transcripts of what happened from start to finish, but in ended with the destruction of the BES-Irremediable and the Cargo. The Escape Pod was retrieved and the Captain was taken to Kensington for medical treatment.
As far as I can see there are a few outstanding issues from this encounter.
1) Does Bowex actually do regular BMM runs to Leeds?
2) Is the BAF also condoning the breaking of the Law?
3) Was I wrong and this Charter does exist? If so I feel that Smith and I can't be blamed as we were never told (I also know that ignorance is not a defence, but the Law is the Law and we all should obey it. Shouldn't we?)
4) If we were correct in carrying out or Duty, then the Captain of the BES-Insufferable has still an outstanding fine of 500,000 Credits for Smuggling.
