much in the same way I disdain pirates who demand credits and then demand cargo after getting credits, I view posts like this with the same disdain, especially considering that the RFP already got payment for the fine. The RFP had the opportunity to ask these questions before but instead choose to go for the credits rather than the informaiton. Now by trying to get the information later and threatening another fine I feel like the RFP is acting much in the same way as a pirate who pirates me twice.

Hi, thank you for feedback.

Thing is, we go straight to issue fines because as you could see in both message I made recently, we get replies only rarely. That´s why we skip usual "we demand explanations" and then "we issued this or that fine" - majority of indies simply don´t respond (and usually just rename the ship) while those who want to speak still have chance to react and even question the evidence and fine itself for example or bring some story. However that´s also the reason why this is handled by mass message, to prevent spamming comm channel with several individual threads.

But I see there no difference between asking for fine and information at same time, and asking it successively. You see:
Scenario 1: We ask for both at same time, you refuse to provide information = you are fined for smuggling and refusing to provide information
Scenario 2: We ask for both at same time, you provide information = you are fined for smuggling
Scenario 3: We ask for both successively, you refuse to provide information = you are fined for smuggling and refusing to provide information
Scenario 4: We ask for both successively, you provide information = you are fined for smuggling

So, the outcome is the same...

It´s paradox that I made that thread motivated to show I want to make some more RP than just demanding credits (eg made investigation about all that black market munitions and cardamine smuggling). Obviously I reached exactly opposite result. Kind of sad Shy

okay, perhaps I overreacted because I read to much into fine threat. I recognize that it is quite the paradox especially after your examples. Perhaps instead of packaging it with a threat of a fine instead go for a warrant. You'll still get the information for your investigations without the implicit threat of a fine, but instead capture (//kill) of those players who refuse.

I was glad to here of Kruppstahl's promotion, I've been in New Berlin many times over the past couple days, and we always have good RP. Au revoir.

Because of the admins' poor choice to buff a contraband purchased in front of the capital House planet, obviously all official factions refrained from getting involved while only newbies who read the in-game message are now doing this run. I believe RFP as an official faction could have shown restraint and not wait right outside the sellpoint for the trader to undock with the BMMs in order to screenshot him and /nodock him. [1|2|3|4]

Even worse, the RFP leader is using undercover ships in order to catch the ships undocking from the Ring who obviously they are not even being given the chance to smuggle.

To be fair they could be purchasing the contraband at Kreuzberg Depot in the same system; it's the same Black Market Munitions as that sold at The Ring.

There's something to be said about folks who want to transport BLACK MARKET Munitions right outside the capital when the police is literally sitting in front of the station.

The RFP are absolutely fine, they're doing their RP jobs.

Hello SpaceTime,

first of all I want to thank you for your feedback.
As the player behind RFP Wachmann Kruppstahl, I want to answer to your post.

You're pretty much right, the sellpoint of the black market munitions is really bad. This buff rotation is often used by new players looking for fast and easy money.
Maybe I should change my behaviour to give smugglers the chance to escape with their contraband.
Actually these smugglers do have some opportunities allowing them to not be caught immediately. Using escorts, for example.
They could also look for a lawful player before buying the contraband.
However I do use this buff rotation to meet and help new players.
By that I can recommend them to trade with ores for example.
That's the way how these new players learn what these laws are, they're getting involved into the roleplay by being caught while smuggling.
Nevertheless the sellpoint should be changed. In fact many of the BMM-smugglers don't even know why contraband is sold on a lawful/civilian base.
I do agree with Lunatic, Kreuzberg Depot should be a way better sellpoint.

Also thank you Tyria, I'm glad that my "work" is appreciated!
