Hello, how about we ungimp this magnificent ID and restore a once delightful and colourful addition to the mod?
The good old days when SCRA was logging and shooting everything on the map are missed.
So, how about letting the indie Coalition ID shoot at any and all enemies of the revolution?
The drawbacks to the ID are naturally the very few allies and thus places to dock (on that note, a hostile or no-dock Zoner rephack would be alright I suppose) and ship types to bring to fights. The biggest ship Coalition players can bring is their gunboat. The Coalition ships aren't that super powerful either, so it won't be a big deal balance-wise.
Opinions?

Personally I'd like hostile transports on the list (yes, don't get your panties in a twist; it wont lead to more trader deaths as folks would just be shooting them on other ID's if that was what they really wanted, relax folks) and the removal of Battleships/Cruisers. What do you guys think?

I thought Coalition enemy is House Military/Police/Intelligence?
Mollys, Gaians, LWB, Bundies, Hessians are friendly/Neutral. + ID has no ZoI, so it would make it kinda too OP. You can always join SCRA and get better ID?

No.
Also, not only, Coalition also needs to be able to "protect Civilians" as a cause of Propaganda. But if they can't engage Pirates, it's kinda stupid.

But why? They seem to be mostly occupied with some political intrigues and forging alliances with other factions, whereas some of us just want to play the role of a combat pilot shooting up enemies of the revolution all day long.
By no means should SCRA be forced to be a pew-heavy faction, but on the other hand I think it would be great if other Coalition players were at liberty to take their roles in that direction. I mean it's not like it's out of lore, unbalanced or unprecedented.
The Coalition in a war with Corsairs over Omegas and especially o49 at this moment, every coalition soldier must be allowed to shoot at Corsairs. We also kill Outcasts as enemy to mankind with their cardamine and nomadhugging. And as Snakelancer said, when random civilian is in danger, Coalition always defend him to show ourselves as good guys and propoganda this way. Limiting us only to shoot navies/police might keep up our primary goals, but damaging secondaries. Plus, Coalition playerbase is small for this addition become biased and overpowered.

Not everyone are often skilled enough to pass by, or was removed from it because of ooRP hatery. Currently, exept for Nomads, Coalition is only faction where indies have smaller rights then officials. While I can agree on indie nomads staying what they are now, adding extra pirates to shoot and ability to fly Typhoon is only good for Coalition playerbase.
Look - we have NPCs flying Cruisers but no players. Its illogical

Something I've been telling you back in SCRA XD like people do so much RP and all to get into the rank getting access to Cruisers, but nobody is using them lol xd
Only NPCs are using Capships nonsense
But anyway as Mimir said, Coalition ID realy should have that oppurtunity, it has the potential for greater pews and RPs in the future, you're just restricting and blocking the actual RP of the Coalition by this.
