The issue is, to avoid situations like these, infocards should mirror the factual zones written in the forum rules, not the imaginary sectors that were before the system listing has been changed. I mean, those were not newbie players - all three were the veteran players, one of which got sanctioned, because two other (veteran) players told him that Nagano is Taus.
To be honest, back in my Bretonian Privateer times, I also didn't know that Nagano is listed as Kusari - but I agree, I was a newbie back then.
And I can agree that forum knowledge is required, but, again, infocard should mirror the system listing as posted on the forums.
As for being lazy, I think some people have claim to state that some people in dev team were lazy, because it has been two years since I've seen that Nagano is Taus in game, but Kusari in the rules.
TWO YEARS.
But then again, I feel sorry for writing that and I mean no harm to the Dev Team. You are doing the great job, with models and stuff, but seriously, some things are screaming for the update and clarification.
Well of course you are right, there's probably some text in green somewhere stating something, so the framework is intact.
The point however is that even if there are dozens of posts in green with various rules and regulations covering this that and the other, it is still a game that is meant to be played. There's been a lot of posts arguing for Disco being a convoluted experience, and you yourself made threads and posts pressing that point.
That there's an intricate framework of forum posts in place does not make that point irrelevant, it is in fact exactly what makes it relevant.

The ZOI chart is in the same thread as the rest of the server rules, so whether or not you want the game to be "pick up and play" is completely irrelevant.
With all due respect, I know you've been here for god knows how long now Spazzy, however I am pretty certain even you couldn't remember every systems position ID ZoI wise. There are lots of systems still in game atm, and it's pretty difficult not to make any mistakes, especially when the infocards or the game itself is giving missleading information regarding a server rule.
Also, as Mímir also said above, if a dev tells me how and what to do, I'd be happy to check these issues, even though I'm not much into FL modding, cause it's a huge load for one person to keep under control.
As for the OP , I probably would have ran into the exact same error , cause I'd expect I can trust the info the gmae gives me.

Once again...

Or you think that devs are constantly checking all the infocards, looking if they will find outdated info so they can update it?

To my knowledge I think it's only Echo who does infocards right now. Having more people on the job would be a major booster to the workflow.

This is the spirit I´m talking about, kudos to you guys.

Well, of course. Which is why I specifically pointed out that we have a ZOI section in the server rules thread and that referencing the forum is vital and ingame information apart from the ID should be ignored for the most part.

And I suppose if you're in a situation where you have to decide what to do , begint the encounter or not, you're going to alt+tab out to the forums, look for the rules section, find the system you need ( let's assume everyone is aware of their IDs ZoI ) and get back into the game ?
And I also suppose you'd expect the opposing party to wait for all that and don't shoot you / make a run for it ?
I'd be suprised. Don't get me wrong, absolutely no offense there, but I think we can agree on that this scenario mentioned above is pretty ... impossible.

I'd expect pretty much from everybody to investigate such info before going out to shoot someone to begin with. Call me crazy.
I guess the Admins do as well, hence why there are sanctions for not paying attention to such things before flying guns blazing.
The problem is that these errors can not be fixed if we're not aware that the problem even exists. We are aware of the Nagano error now, but this is probably not the only case. If you find more oversights like this, report them in the bug report thread and they'll be looked into. If you feel like there is not enough time devoted to infocards, feel free to spend your time searching for and solving the problem instead of continuously ranting about nothing being done. That would put your energy to good use.
Being able to read and understand the major posts of the forums (the rules, for example) is a crucial part of playing here.
And the rules in this case are very clear. The ID overrides the rules, but the system description infocard is not an ID. The rules say that Nagano is a part of Kusari controlled space for ZOI purposes, and hence is not a part of the Tau ZOI.

I would be more upset at being sanction, rather than having my pixel ship destroyed, so yes. Yes I would.
Which is exactly why you, over the years, will not find my characters mentioned in sanction threads regarding ZOI misconduct. Just like the majority of our members.
So yes, this is something we would expect. Research your ID before playing it.

I remember that it took years for the Corsairs to have their allied status removed from the Order rep card, or now that the Zoners are listed as allies of the Order after half a year in which both factions are automatically red to each other.
Indeed, it took years for someone to formally report issues with the Corsair reputation infocard... and about 5 minutes for me to fix it. I myself was quite surprised when I found out how long it had been a problem.

To my knowledge I think it's only Echo who does infocards right now. Having more people on the job would be a major booster to the workflow.
For now, the best thing really is to report issues in the bug reports subforum, since it would be impractical for a large number of people to be editing the source files, and external bug management has proven inefficient. In the future we're hoping to have a bug tracker that's integrated with the forums, but as most of you will be aware, Alley's technical wizardry is in limited supply and implementing the bug tracker is not our highest priority.

Funny story;
[1/06/2015 4:28:46 PM] Echo 7-7: Teerin, please make a note somewhere that literally every single system description infocard needs updating/checking/revision.
