If I'm using let's say a Pirate ID, and another player who has Freelancer ID fighter is offensive inRP, for example insulting my mother/brother/family or myself, or even talking offensively to provoke a reaction from me, do I have justification to shoot him even though my ID doesn't allow me to shoot Freelancer ID players? Same applies to any other encounter where one ID permits engagement against the other ID, I took 2 most generic ones as an example.
Asking this now 'cause there ain't alot of people doing this kind of RP, but I had that kind of an encounter today and didn't shoot the guy 'cause I wasn't sure if I am breaking the rules or not.
What Shinju said, using your own ID rights is the appopriate way to punish him. That way your could avoid breaking your ID and punishing the said character in return.

However, the ID says (in Pirate ID example) I can only demand credits from Transports, Liners or Freighters (I was in House space), so again the ID forbids even asking for cash.

Grow up mate. "HAHA [insert group here] IS STUUUUPIDDDD HAHA" Honestly?
On topic: Make your way just outside house space then nail him if he follows
What if the Pirate ID'ed player moves the conversation to threatening to fire upon the Freelancer, and the Freelancer ID'ed player threatens back or eggs on the Pirate along the lines of "go for it and see what happens".
Can this represent an agreement between the two players and open the way for engagement? Or is it better if the two just stay inside their ID restrictions.
