Hence why the cloak disrupters got a serious buff. Bowex are selling them relatively cheaply and all they ask in return is a bit of Role Play. Huggie has said (At least in the chat) that the noRP engage thing stops for almost everyone at the start of the New Year. Only those that can be 'trusted' were getting that power.
Also:

This can be tossed both ways. Even before Huggie took over people would genuinely ignore K'hara and even when they're around they would be killed on site. You could say that this is a killer for interaction. I know for a fact that there's probably only one or two people I've interacted with took Nomad RP seriously where as everyone else just shrugged it off and engaged me on site. Most people, even before Huggie, just wanted to kill K'Hara as opposed to interacting with them.
Edit: Though, it would be nice to see ether the cloak sound distance moved to about 6k or the sound volume level is increased.
Snoopy were you even around when getting into a nomad faction required you to make pages upon pages or good solid nomad rp on forums? My question is not answered. Just avoided.
Ah ye... There we go.
I do believe the keepers did a far better job on that regard to keep the faction full of people that are able to give quality role-play and not just armature stuff. Nomads should be one of those factions that strive for quality.
As what you have now, some of the rp encounters I had with them really lacked it. It was more used to pvp while using a infinite cloak.
To top that all off, i do believe the faction was just filtered to have friends of Conrad. Not only that but there was also a monopoly state when others tried to make nomad factions and there was s.alt coming from him.
perhaps you all were unwilling to see some other people you have no control over give it a shot.
I can't tell anymore, is this a nomad feedback page or a dev cloak feedback page, I'm not seeing much feedback for the nomads atm, many of you need to go complain in the Mod General Discussion Section
As for feedback regarding the nomads, More Liquid Cardimine I don't know how you expect me to handle an addiction with only one unit at a time

You had to write like one story thing and you had to fly a morph around for rather a long time, documenting your chat on pastebin or something.
It wasn't ridiculously difficult, but it was a pretty good system IMO.

+1
It was also very fun.
To get considered into joining the faction, you needed to earn a number of points.
You could earn these points by roleplaying as a morph ingame, and sending the logs to the recruitment person at that time (King Boo). You'd then be given points based on how well you performed as well as given advice as to what could be improved with your roleplay.
On the mindshare forums, there were also a number of quests that were riddles with varying difficulty. Completing these quests would award you additional points.
If you have accumulated enough points (to show experience with Nomad RP) and roleplay good enough, you got accepted into the faction.
It was a fairly fun system, and I'd honestly like to see it return, not just for recruitment.

It demotivates law enforcement to log in such occasions, it demotivates traders to visit the area because there is no one to defend them, it demotivates pirates from working there because there is no one to rob, and again the law enforcement in other occasions because there are no pirates, and then hostile House forces because they have no one to fight. The only party that is on the rise are the K'Hara, but soon they would find nothing to shoot at and would be forced to cyber with each other.

- Rule 3.1 now applies to K'hara and Indie Nomad IDs.
- Nomads are required to do RP before attacking, uncloaked.
- both respective IDs are being changed to reflect that.
This might actually fix some stuff.
If the khara are retreating from law enforcement its not because i said to do it. I tell them to engage. Khara should not be afraid to die so i agree partially to your comments but only in this regard.
Being a protagonist means having the balls to explode when being hunted down. Khara arent cowards aliens that have little to lose from death do not fear the pain of defeat.
As for the id changes. It puts us in a more RP enforced area but I feel this will only enforce tasteless capitulation to blab nonsense for opening fire. I will endeavor to make sure its awhile before that happens.

Well only as far as its appreciated. I think we've compelled some .. debate as to what the acceptable level of danger truly is on the server. and whether or not whats considered tasteful these days. Either way.. im sure well do our best.

as with everything it can be better.

This will be coming back.. it just requires alot of work.. and an actually recruiting STAFF for the guise of recruitment.
The reason much of the khara morph rp is missing is because the forums underwent no less then 4 version changes. Many of the post numbers are different.. when they were migrated and thusly lost. Also.. The khara webpage vanished taking many of the logs.. interactions and stories of the time with it.
Hence..Internets is the reason folks cant seem to locate the majority of the rp we did 2012 on.
