Good job! and thank you for your service in advance.
It's not easy to moderate and administrate so i wish you good luck in applying justice within your decisions
Again, thank you for doing this for all of us and have a nice day

He said qualify.
You don't qualify.
Basically the staff thinks you're a bad person.
also
hwewe skorak!
Thank you for explaining that to Chuba. Apply does not mean qualify. Although, not qualifying doesn't make Chuba a bad person either. He just needs to mature.

Be nice, reasonable, calm, prove you can decide well, prove you can keep secrets. And have some reputation.
Simple.
Oh WoW, Like I am most aggressive guy around and something seriously I can not get into people mind to show them the change, The thing I see and understand is that My banhammer punishment stands in my way for everything in the community. What I really want to say to you guys is that look into people Who they are now? Not what they were in past, See if they changed themselves and did progress

It's not just a matter of your previous ban, Devil. The staff look at maturity (Not saying that you're not), calm and constructive people who go the extra mile. If you look at most of the recent people, many of them were Angels or people who did a lot for the community before they became staff. Skorak, John Wildkins, Shinju, Cashew, Dimon. They're just a few that I can name. All five of those were active Angels at the time, be it in game, on the forums or helping / training other Angels. The other guys had very friendly personalities and the motivation to help others/do a job.
Try and go the extra mile, stand out from the crowd for the good reasons and get known. Try and get some feedback from the Staff to why you weren't picked for Moderator. I'm sure they'll tell you why. Don't forget, just because you applied doesn't mean you're going to get accepted. Don't feel disheartened, ask for the feedback and improve from there and try again next time.
That's certainly what I looked for back when I was doing mod interviews anyway.
It's not about banhammers, it's about general reputation and attitude.
For example, Lythrilux was never banned, but I would eat my hat if he'll become moderator.
My recommendation for those wishing to serve in a Staff position is to find someway to give of yourself to Disco, demonstrate a high level of maturity and show yourself to be a reasonable, unbiased person.
What I looked for in applicants was:
What are they doing for the community currently?
Do they hold any positions of responsibility? If so, how do they manage that responsibility?
How do they treat newcomers to the community?
How long have they been with Disco themselves?
How do they work with authority?
Do they have give their opinions freely, or do they simply say what they think the Admins want to hear?
Do they have a working knowledge of the forum/server rules?
Do they appear biased toward their factions/faction members?
What kind of temperament do they have?
How do they respond when their mistakes are pointed out to them?
How might they respond if they are outvoted or majority disagrees with their opinions?
These are a few of the questions I used to seek answers to during Staff interviews with applicants. For those interested in qualifying for Moderator, and eventually Admin, I would encourage you to consider these areas as ones to develop prior to the next call for positions on the Staff.
