To: Bowex InfoNet Priority: Low Topic: Refit of the RTS Paderborn
The RTS Paderborn is a former transport vessel of Republican Shipping, Rheinland's largest shipping company. Because of the high price of such a large vessel, the RTS Paderborn was almost broken when it has been bought. Republican Shipping managed to refit it in the hangars of Alster Shipyard in Hamburg system. Due to a dispute with Johnny Smirnoff, Republican Shipping's CEO, I was forced to leave the corporation. Of course, I took all my possessions with me, including the CT-73 "Stork". Partially, I was forced to take dangerous routes in order to fulfill my delivery. Thus the Paderborn is damaged and can barely launch to space.
I need the assistance of Bowex and probably even those of Bretonia Mining & Manufacturing in order to refit the RTS Paderborn. I won't be able to pay prone costs myself, thus I'd need to borrow some credits of Bowex. The money will be paid back as soon as possible, of course. In return, the RTS Paderborn will serve Borderworld Exports as large transport vessel.
While I rarely send transmissions to this node, the mess that occurred lately deserve some documentation.
As I was minding my own business near Southampton, I was asked to tag along with a strike force that was heading to Newcastle. We reached Scarborough and were asked to wait here while more forces were arriving. That's when we saw that large structure, which reminded me of something horrible. Turns out it was of the same origin.
While I was having fun with the play-toys that guarded the structure, some Bafie decided I would be better used in New London to enforce the blockade and prevent stupid civilians to jump in for a peek. Consequently, I was teamed up with a redneck and a silent gunboat captain and we had tremendous fun speaking with annoying civilians. I was gifted some free hotel nights on Curacao however.
Anyway, the Armed Forced soon sent heavy units to guard the gate, and Redneck-san and I returned to Newcastle to have some fun with the Alien play-toys. We were actually teamed up with a young ensign, Porkfield, who took the lead of our wonderful "Gold" wing, as they labelled it.
Porky-chan was too scared for his own good, however. I truly wonder why men have to always be so disappointing.
Regardless, turns out those two pilots were downed pretty quickly, which left me alone to get all the fun. I managed to grab the drop pods, however, so they are still alive and kicking as I am writing this.
Bottom line of the dance of death? The Armed Forces heavy units were unable to damage the structure, and they were forced to retreat. I ended up having to save that new guy, Harper-san, tractored his drop pod and made a run to south shield as a bunch of angry lunatics were trying to get me dead. Barely made it and that stupid marauder deserved quite some heavy repairs.
As a side note, I saw Breacon-san right there, but we were too busy to have some talk.
You think that's the end of the story yet? Sit back down because what follows is even worse.
I was -again- minding my own business in New London orbit, taking some time to relax, when suddenly Aliens contacts showed up. They were coming in waves and some Freelancer and I tried to fend them off while I was calling the Armed Forced to tell them all hell broke loose here.
We would somewhat have made it if those waves kept being composed with little fighters, but it quickly got worse. By the time Bafies showed up, some structure quite similar to the one in Newcastle was -there-, and plenty more of angry Aliens were shooting indiscriminately at things.
Eventually, Armed Forces seemingly found a way to disable the power core that was sitting in the middle of the structure. Consequently, there is now a giant rocky thing close to the planet, that nobody can destroy without risking the lives of all the people living there.
What will it be next? Some structure appearing right in front of Curacao as I'm having some days off there?
Top 'o the evening, colleagues! It has been a busy night in New London, with a miniature Gallic invasion thwarted by none other than our fine Bowex badger bombing squad. I was minding my business with a simple delivery of diamonds to our friends at BMM when I saw a blue blast engulfing the sensors. By Jove, a Frenchman! And not just any Gallic interloper, no sir, a whole Valor-class Battleship. It was firing on Canary Wharf which is fortunately well-defended. It approached and threatened me, from which I promptly disengaged and landed on New London. Granted, the BPA was first on the scene, quickly followed by our Angry Badger number 4. I undocked the Wordsworth to take a look and prepare for rescue operations. This was going to be a long fight, if not for the silent, but focused armed forces gunboat, the HMS Tinman, that showed up and started engaging head-on.

Good Afternoon,
After picking up my employee pass from planet new London and being added to all relevant neural net channels i took the BES-Orange out for a first spin. The vessel is operating as it should. Its clear that they haven't fixed the relevant autodocking procedures with the tradelanes at certain angles but I'll just have to train my pilot to actually do his job like we used to do. Talking about crew, its clear I've got a bunch of rookies assigned to my ship, no matter they'll get the hang of it, but did you have to assign me a kusari Chief engineer? I don't mind him being here but its just that he doesn't drink his tea like the rest of us.
Anyway I've done 2 trips to Liberty with luxury food and back with Boron so we're offsetting the investment of the ship but can we please look at the availability of escort pilots. I know its a war out there but I've run into some Gallian fighters trying to interdict shipping on both legs and had no support.
Right, time for another cup of tea.

What a day I've had, I get lost on the way back from New London and end up in the Dublin System so I decided to check it out. Unfortunately I was in my own vehicle instead of the company one, and could land anywhere when I happened to come across a Gallic Navy fleet... So I hot-tailed it out of there as my recreational vehicle doesn't come with a comms system.
I should've stayed closer to the jumpgate for a quick get away but no... I had ventured out 60k and the fleet had snuck up behind me... But luckily I found a jumphole... Well thats what I thought at the time... it was only a jumphole to Leeds... my scanner then started to work again and informed me that another fleet was bearing down on me so I used the smog cloud to my advantage and found the jumphole to the Manchester System.
Finally I make it back to Newcastle and back to familiar space when yet ANOTHER frog fleet decides to attack... This time I had had enough and gave fire back... the Bretonian Navy were awesome in making sure I survived, and even let me escort the scum
prisoners to a more profitable drop off point...
Finally I make it back to Scarborough to check how the paint job is coming on the company freighter is coming along and they only went and named it Shipton... (I must have really bad handwriting) So I'm now enjoying a good old fashioned cup of Tea whilst they change it to Skipton..

Good afternoon,
With the start of BAF operations on Planet Sydney, the Chamberlain has been running supplies to Port Jackson to help support our troops there. For now, we've mostly been taking in crates of Med-Stasis bands to stockpile for future need. As the military's needs change, though, we'll start carrying in other cargo. For our return trip, we've been carrying all the Deuterium we can hold to help keep the defenders at New London supplied.

To: Bowex InfoNet [department manager access credentials] Priority: Normal Topic: Memo RE unsolicited offer of boxes for sale
Message Contents:
Memo prepared by helmsman Greg Smith on behalf of Captain H F R A Bickerton, Esq Wrote:At approximately 15:20 New London standard the BES Davenport was contacted by an individual self-identifying as Garcia Ortega. An earlier chance encounter with a vessel bearing the same transponder stamp indicates that the individual is affiliated with the Outcast criminal cartels.
Ortega insinuated that they had gained access to Ageira white boxes (biometrically secured shipping vaults containing proprietary trade lane and jump gate technology). He believed that these items may be of interest to Bretonia, in so far as reverse engineering them could assist in the development of our own domestically produced infrastructure. Ortega then left instructions for contacting a 'Rodrigo Diaz', who appears to be his superior.
I must stress that it is beyond reasonable doubt that these goods were obtained illegally. There would be potentially extreme legal repercussions should it be discovered that Bretonian representatives had attempted to circumvent Liberty's intellectual property protections. Raw comm data appended.
Unfortunately my helmsman (Gary?) is a raving incontinent and has no idea what he is talking about in the slightest. I honestly don't know how he qualified to fly my vessel. It is abundantly clear that Mr Ortega wishes to sell us some white shipping containers that previously belonged to Ageira.
I don't particularly know why he felt that I, personally, would appreciate such an unsolicited marketing call, but there it is should you fellows wish to make use of it.
That being said, I would be rather reluctant to rely upon second hand shipping containers. I am assuming that Ageira probably threw them away for good reason, and I am rather loathe to pay scavengers for another man's leavings.
You've no assurance of quality after all, and my own experience with second hand goods tells me you're liable to be rather awfully scalded when the blasted things immolate themselves.

[29.02.827 15:29:25] -|-Garcia.Ortega: Garcia: Si, si amigo. I need you to pass a message onto your superiors. We have came across some Ageria White Boxes, and since Bretonia looks like it could do with some 'extra' infrastructure. Maybe you're interested.
[29.02.827 15:30:46] Bowex)Davenport: Well, I don't quite know why we'd want white boxes specifically, we seem to have lots of other boxes of other colours that are perfectly serviceable.
[29.02.827 15:31:23] Bowex)Davenport: Why, I was walking through the spaceport only this morning and there were all sorts of boxes, filled with... well, things.
[29.02.827 15:32:01] Bowex)Davenport: It must be rather bland at Ageira if they only use white boxes...

[29.02.827 15:35:38] -|-Garcia.Ortega: Garcia: Bretonia made trade lanes! How does that sound.
[29.02.827 15:36:29] Bowex)Davenport: But we already have those. Don't we? I'll certainly drop a memo off and let them know that you've got some white boxes though.

[29.02.827 15:39:55] -|-Garcia.Ortega: Garcia: Well, there you go! - Some White Boxes without Ageria oversight. I suspect you could do a lot with those.

Incoming Transmission from The Ring
New Berlin, Republic of Rhienland
7th March 827 A.S.
To: Bowex InfoNet Priority: Normal Topic: Jaunt to New Berlin
Message Contents:
Memo prepared by helmsman Greg Smith on behalf of Captain H F R A Bickerton, Esq Wrote:At approximately 20:40 New London standard the BES Davenport entered the Aland Shipyard Enhanced Security Zone. The Rhienland Military vessel =BW=Otto.von.Fischer had taken position near the trade lane, and was joined at approximately 20:44 by [RMK]Lt.Roland.Schmidt, also of the Rhienland Military.
Both vessels proceeded to implement a customs and excise checkpoint outside of Aland, screening all incoming and outgoing traffic for compliance with Rhienland's laws. This included the stoppage of an Ageira merchant vessel for inspection, and a freelance mercenary who had apparently been employed by Kusari during their war with Rhienland in the Sigmas. My understanding of the legalities of this (as of the Bowex Omega Legal Primer #36.8) is that the Treaty of Snowdown places restraints and conditions upon the Rhienland Military's operations in the Nottingham system.
In this case, the vessels in question were neither escorting relevant economic vessels or responding to an actual or impending threat to a relevant installation. It is highly concerning that the pilots in question confirmed that their commanding officer had issued the orders to implement the checkpoint. The pilots also expressed an interest in the 'Core' operatives that are stationed aboard Aland. I can only assume this incident is linked to the tensions I have seen reported on the BBC.
Captain Bickerton repeatedly belayed my requests to report the matter to the appropriate authorities. To his credit, Captain Bickerton did eventually persuade the officers to leave the system without further incident by requesting an escort to Oder Shipyard in New Berlin. That said, I do not believe he fully understood the implications of their presence at Aland. Please see the raw comm data appended below.

[07.03.2020 20:53:50] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: I think they are working for the Hessians, though publicly claiming it is Kusari
[07.03.2020 20:54:07] [RMK]Lt.Roland.Schmidt: And why would they work for the Hessians?
[07.03.2020 20:54:11] Bowex)Davenport:: Administrative staff, cargo pod scrubbers, animal wranglers. Basic stuff I suppose.
[07.03.2020 20:54:21] +Orion+Bluefin: *sounding thoughtful* Did Hessians ever pay us anything? I don't think so.
[07.03.2020 20:54:32] Bowex)Davenport:: If you're used to handling onions, maybe our catering team might suit you?
[07.03.2020 20:54:59] +Orion+Bluefin: Ugh. You people are so tedious. I should head to Liberty, people there are fun

[07.03.2020 20:56:02] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Probably made in Liberty
[07.03.2020 20:56:40] Bowex)Davenport:: *Muffled* Gregory, will you please shut up. I highly doubt the police want to deal with three gentlemen having a catch-up.
[07.03.2020 20:57:28] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: I guess.. anyway
[07.03.2020 20:57:34] +Orion+Bluefin: This isn't a catch up, I didn't shoot these people personally. Well, I don't think I did. Maybe I did.
[07.03.2020 20:57:38] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: For whom is Orion working these days?
[07.03.2020 20:57:40] +Orion+Bluefin: Probably not though.
[07.03.2020 20:57:51] +Orion+Bluefin: Nobody. That's what I was saying.
[07.03.2020 20:58:03] [RMK]Lt.Roland.Schmidt: Probably not us in personal, but Rheinland Military.
[07.03.2020 20:58:07] +Orion+Bluefin: We don't have any more contracts, we've all dispersed to pursue other things.
[07.03.2020 20:58:30] Bowex)Davenport:: And now you're discovering that the solo single isn't quite making the charts, so to speak?
[07.03.2020 20:58:33] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Like flying into Rheinland to "test the waters"
[07.03.2020 20:58:55] +Orion+Bluefin: Oh, I've spent plenty of time solo before I ever joined this short-lived outfit.
[07.03.2020 20:59:06] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Cloaked ship
[07.03.2020 20:59:06] +Orion+Bluefin: Mostly in Kusari. It was a long time ago.
[07.03.2020 20:59:15] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Must be one of those ApexCo
[07.03.2020 20:59:26] Bowex)Davenport:: So am I right in thinking that you freelancers can be paid to do pretty much whatever one wants?
[07.03.2020 21:00:10] [RMK]Lt.Roland.Schmidt: Kinda, yes.
[07.03.2020 21:00:20] +Orion+Bluefin: Er, well. I'm still trying to figure that out.
[07.03.2020 21:00:40] +Orion+Bluefin: For one insane moment I considered going home, as I was passing Cambridge.
[07.03.2020 21:00:43] Bowex)Davenport:: How delightful! It's always fascinating to see what the poors will do in exchange for credits!
[07.03.2020 21:01:02] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Contact
[07.03.2020 21:01:07] Bowex)Davenport:: So for example, if I offered to give you $1,000 in exchange for throwing an open tin of paint over the Dean of Christchurch of Cambridge University's car, would you do it?
[07.03.2020 21:01:16] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Khassad please standby for a cargo scan
[07.03.2020 21:01:21] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Clear.
[07.03.2020 21:01:43] +Orion+Bluefin: I would do that for free, given my experience with the Cambridge educational system.
[07.03.2020 21:01:52] Bowex)Davenport:: How entertaining!
[07.03.2020 21:02:03] Bowex)Davenport:: Not, that is, that I would condone such a course of action.
[07.03.2020 21:02:12] Bowex)Davenport:: It would however, be delightfully droll.
[07.03.2020 21:02:50] +Orion+Bluefin: *in a much darker tone* Don't even start about that.
[07.03.2020 21:03:30] Bowex)Davenport:: In any case, I keep getting annoying 'priority' messages from Leicester telling me to do my 'job'.
[07.03.2020 21:03:44] Bowex)Davenport:: Apparently this lot need to go to New Berlin. Honestly, it's such an awful imposition.
[07.03.2020 21:03:46] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Davenport, have you seen Core personnel onboard Aland?
[07.03.2020 21:04:03] Bowex)Davenport:: Oh, I try not to fratenise with -that- sort. You know.
[07.03.2020 21:04:06] Bowex)Davenport:: Employees.
[07.03.2020 21:04:36] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: I wonder what use they have now
[07.03.2020 21:04:44] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Since there are no external threats
[07.03.2020 21:04:58] Bowex)Davenport:: Say, could one of you fellows do me a favour? I've not been through to Rhienland before, and I've heard some rather dreadful stories about pirates and whatnot. Do you think you'd be able to help me get this lot there?
[07.03.2020 21:05:31] Bowex)Davenport:: At least then Frederick will get off my back, the upjumped cretin.
[07.03.2020 21:05:47] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Lot? Which one?
[07.03.2020 21:06:08] Bowex)Davenport:: Oh, whatever the nonsense that got loaded into my cargo bay is.
[07.03.2020 21:06:15] Bowex)Davenport:: Apparently it's wanted at some shipyard.
[07.03.2020 21:06:24] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Oh these are.. Robotics
[07.03.2020 21:06:31] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: What do you think Schmidt?
[07.03.2020 21:06:33] Bowex)Davenport:: Are they? I'll take your word for it.
[07.03.2020 21:06:39] [RMK]Lt.Roland.Schmidt: Sicher, warum nicht.
[07.03.2020 21:06:41] [RMK]Lt.Roland.Schmidt: Let's go.
[07.03.2020 21:06:47] Bowex)Davenport:: Much appreciated.
[07.03.2020 21:06:48] +Orion+Bluefin: I'd be happy to take an escort contract, but there seems to be lingering animosity on part of these Rheinlanders.
[07.03.2020 21:07:00] Bowex)Davenport:: Yes, it rather sounds like they won't let you through the gate.
[07.03.2020 21:07:18] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Keep your eye on Bluefin, he might try to sneak in
[07.03.2020 21:07:28] +Orion+Bluefin: Well, good flying, and also screw you.
[07.03.2020 21:08:01] Bowex)Davenport:: So, have you chaps been doing this long?
[07.03.2020 21:08:15] [RMK]Lt.Roland.Schmidt: Not that long.
[07.03.2020 21:08:24] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: I've been 3 years in this post
[07.03.2020 21:08:25] [RMK]Lt.Roland.Schmidt: I joined the Militaer during the last part of the Kusari war.
[07.03.2020 21:08:32] =BW=Otto.von.Fischer: Probably getting transferred next month
[07.03.2020 21:08:38] Bowex)Davenport:: No? Me either. My father told me I should take an interest in affairs of state so here I am.
[BES Davenport departs to Omega 7 with the two Rhienland Military vessels]
Hello all.
I dropped off the gin that the commandant on Aland requested; tremendous chap, I believe he used to play squash with my father back in the day. There was a bit of a fuss outside Aland, but it all seemed amicable enough in the end. A couple of chaps from the Rheinland Military provided a chaperone service to New Berlin. Nice enough sorts, if dreadfully dull and single-minded. I rather felt pity for them, all said. I've heard the stories about their awful pay and the fact that sometimes they're forced to eat their own boots during 'lean' months.
I sent one of the pair $100,000 in sympathy. I suspect that should be at least enough to buy a nice dinner on Planet New Berlin. I'm not particularly au fait on the cost of contemporary groceries - usually the help sees to that. In any event, the goods arrived soundly enough. This place is honestly dreadful however. The Ring wouldn't know culture if it bit it on the, well... Ring. I've heard that Planet New Berlin has a rather intriguing socialite scene, so I may arrange for a shuttle and a stop-over.
P.S - Please ask Leicester to stop sending me priority flagged messages about consignments. It's most annoying.
P.P.S - Gregory has been most impudent and unbecoming of a man of his station. I feel I am fully entitled to ask HR to seriously consider disciplinary action for his uncouth and unseemly behaviour. That said, I understand that a gentleman of his breeding will naturally be prone to such temperaments and flaws, and so can find it in myself to forgive him this time. It would be most appreciated if HR could advise him to keep his disparaging tone and insipid reports to himself however.
Yours sincerely
Captain Horatio Fairfax Rodney Alfred Bickerton

<<<<<Begin Transmission>>>>> From:Lore Walker To: The Bowex Bounty Administrator RE: Request for bounty
Good morning, I hope the day finds you well.
Two weeks ago I sent a transmission to the LPI's Police Reporting System informing them of an unprovoked attempt on my life by a member of the Xeno Alliance.
Since I have received no response I am requesting permission to place a bounty on the head of the pilot of XA-Cobra to put a stop to attacks on Bowex employees and Bretonians in general. This pilot has clearly demonstrated a desire to see any and all Bretonians put to harm and that cannot be tolerated.
I thank you for taking the time to consider this request.
