I was born into the trade like many other freighter captains. with a freighter captain for a mother, but a father nowhere to be seen, my mother look me under her wing. I flew my first (albeit small) vessel at 10, and owned my own by 14. I can't stand being planetside for too long, the stars call to me. The past 12 years have gotten to be mediocre and routine, and i have recently been looking to expand my scope. I recently enrolled in a number of local training schools, and I have now finished the final stages of weapons training. I was offered an apprenticeship planetside, but can't stand to become another company drone.

I have spent long enough on the sidelines. I want to be part of the bigger picture. I like the high profile work, the risky bits, the bits that require something special. Summary of Biography: Born on Planet Los Angeles, Shane learned to pilot large craft from his father at a relatively young age, but didn't begin to take his career choices seriously until he got married and discovered his wife was pregnant.
After spending a good deal of time chasing contracts and searching for work as a freelance transport/escort pilot, he finally began working as an unofficial Universal Shipping owner/operator. Shane quickly grew to enjoy being a part of USI's trade convoys, and soon began flying alongside USI employees regularly; he was hired into the Department of Trade soon after.
Over time, his skills were utilized more and more within the Department of Security, and he steadily climbed through the ranks until he was appointed CSO following the former CSO's formal resignation. Shane led several paramilitary operations against Rheinland-affiliated factions during his tenure as CSO in support of Liberty Naval forces, which didn't gain him any friends in Rheinland.
It was only a matter of time before the price on his head grew large enough for action to be taken against him.
Shane's battle-worn Wasupu's communications system was electronically hijacked by an unknown party, and he received a fake distress call from the California system which appeared to be from his father. Unable to call for support, he investigated the distress call alone; he was ambushed, his ship destroyed, and he was taken into custody.
Years later, following a period of destabilization in which Rheinland destroyed the Bering and Hudson Jumpgates leading into Hamburg, the prison was attacked by Rheinland Military units. Shane was able to escape captivity and carefully made his way back home.
After being reunited with his family and spending some time recuperating from his time in captivity, Shane has begun trying to get his life back on track, to achieve a sense of normalcy if nothing else.
Why do you want to join USI?: Would love to be a part of USI once again. I do not wish to have my previous rank simply handed back; I would prefer to earn whatever position I am offered.

Summary of Biography: I grew up on the planet of Manhattan. When I was growing up the only person who took care of me was my mother because my father died in the war 20 years ago. My mother didn’t often have a job because of her drinking. The only money we had was the money left over from fathers compensation check. But when I was old enough to Get Job I took up shipping contracts. But A couple months ago my mother died. So I’ve just been trying to pay off all of debts and provide for myself.
Why do you want to join USI?: I would like to join USI TO get more lucrative contracts to pay off my mothers debts she left behind and to provide for my self.

Summary of Biography: I grew up in Manhattan, my father was an immigrant from New London. He saved up his money making gin to move us to Manhattan for a new life. I spent my youth helping with the family business until I was old enough to fly. That is when I started doing trade runs for my father. I have worked for him up until I decided to move on to bigger and better things.
