Thank you for the support, @"WPeregrine" and @Stefz
@nOmnomnOm , we pride ourselves for having a strict "no loitering in space" rule (because parking your ship in a corner of a system to generate activity is just lame) which makes the numbers on the tracker actual gameplay time and that takes a lot of dedication from everyone in the faction.
Alpha is mostly empty and the hessians are everywhere, so there is no place for us to raid. Besides, we're getting enough fighting even without raiding the outcasts and the hessians. Everyone around us is allied/friendly with everyone else so they only have us to shot at and that gives us enough pew pew time, sometimes even more that we wish for.
Also, the faction average PvP skills are still modest compared to our enemies and we are a pirating/smuggling faction and we want to keep as close as possible to our chosen RP path. If the need for raids will emerge we will do it, but it will have to have some kind of justification. That does not mean we wont ever do raids, it just means we won't risk transforming ourselves into a faction that lives only thru raids and PVP and instead focus on pirating, smuggling, trading, escorting, etc.
This might not make me very popular among my former Hermanos, but I have to say the idea of a Corsair trading faction has always seemed a bit queer to me. Back in the day Ivan and a couple of the other OPG guys started a trading faction called OTC, I didn't like it back then, I don't like it now. Corsairs take what they need, they are pirates. I don't like making comparisons to other fictional universes, but I feel like the Sairs match up with the Iron Islanders on GOT. Sairs shouldn't be traders. You want to trade? Go Hog or Indy trader. Sairs take, they don't pay.

The Corsairs have always had a smuggling faction, with the Benitez standing out as the longest running/most successful, and Corsair Rabas were for a while a , if not quite common, not particularly rare sight at Trafalgar.
I would not necessarily disagree that the main activity of Corsairs should be piracy, but the export of artefacts is another important element of our roleplay, and one we do not need to leave merely to the Hogosha.

So you won't be joining then...?
Surely the more varied the RP that is portrayed in game and on the forum by players, the more flavour and opportunities are created?
Wow, it's like all the old sairs just suddenly popped out of nowhere.
I don't disagree with the idea that Corsair RP is much more varied than Arrrrr. That being said, I think official factions for the most part should represent the mainline action of the NPC faction, and while there is room for different rp within the faction, and different indy rp, I think it's very important that official factions, who have a role in directing mod rp, represent the major part of an npc faction's rp, not the minor part of it. I am not saying Sair factions shouldn't have smugglers in them, I am not saying that indy sairs shouldn't rp smugglers, but an official factions should not be based on corsair smugglers.
Bindo, the Benitez wasn't a smuggling faction. And the sairs have never had an official smuggler faction.
Your officialdom request failed. You did not hit for activity requirements due to this. your future as Official faction has been cut off. You still may re-apply whenever you want and try out again.
