I say, recreate the event. This time, as someone mentioned, allow only snubs to go trough the jumpholes -beam the caps.
Also, it could be good to test server under heavy load before would begin.
I can't still say who would won if server was fine, considering that the generators were destroyed while we all were lagging, and generators are non players so they didn't lagged to attackers.
Though, it was still nice. Kudos to that little chim on the end, badass evasive movements.
edit: and yeah, I've seen freelancers (IFF, ID) and lmao, OC Ranseur appeared. Lolns brought more caps than they should. It seems like system wasn't locked, as it was being said.

I didn't understand that as well, and I was there in my own Upholder(which still does not make logic on how I died)
Hopefully next time the events will be configured a bit better. I liked the event because it got my out of Liberty/Rhienland/Bretonia space for a little.
You should've given some Marduks to some trustworthy players just for purpose of the event only. Afterwards being deleted. I remember the days when we fought BAF vs KNF in Leeds and there was a command /restartKNF EVENT and you were already set with a temporary ship. But those are old times and were fun events back then, even hold on a different server just to avoid the lag.

Looks like there was some massive balance issues, however. I hope the Nomad players still enjoyed their time. I know I would've been very upset about the lag and imbalance. Although a hand in the balance issues was surely people in Nomad factions having HC positions in house military factions.
I said as much. This was a huge factor in me personally.

- The location was cool. The people that usually play in house space got a chance to see Omicron Major and the Dyson Sphere with their house characters. The Suncrusher and the installations looked awesome, and I got some nice screenshots of it. The latter parts of the battle even took place outside the atmosphere. This event really promoted Omicron Major and I hope, RP-wise, the consequence is more activity there, as the intelligence services should be interested in this now.
- Some people actually dropped RP lines, yes. The beginning of the event was a terrible mess and I honestly didn't manage to read more than some stray lines. But I saw some cool RP behavior in the beginning as well during the end, especially @Durandal did a good job on showing enmity to the Order. The whole Kusarian players acted like they really were into this, protecting their command ship, in the end they died, but hey. Also the Dauntress by @Thunderer was nice, setting up a little capital fortress with the two Rheinland turtles and the Eikyuu. Very nice.
- The targets actually lived long enough, but iirc, the snub targets got shot by capitals mostly.

What was not good:
- Eh, many people did the minecraft multiplayer trope:
//laaaaag
It's not like nobody noticed the lag.
- Most people showed no real intention about RP. Or even putting up a real sentence. That's just a little shame. How did people know what to attack? Why did nobody question the sudden gathering of all the fleets? People seemed more impressed by leaving the atmosphere than by the presence of a huge nomad planet killer, or all those Wild-ships. Hey, Wild-ID, so pew.
- What I really found terrible was the fact that some Lolbertonians actually managed to bring additional, forbidden caps into play. Very low, and I hope those guys get a punch in the nuts. The caps that were already present were more than enough. I suggest next time to set the jump holes to snub-only, like the gate in Kansas, and teleport the capitals that registered to Major.

Footage will come later.
I personally couldn't roleplay was my lag. I dropped a few lines but ultimately could only shoot stuff was really annoying and made me sad - I really wanted to do stuff but I was late and then the lag was so real Next time I hope I can RP better...but sadly enough, it is what it is.

Yeah, you weren't able to RP too, due to server instability. So what is the result of this event, who won, who lost?

This is a good suggestion imo.
And not only in relation to this event, but usually when Nomads log caps they end up getting outnumbered at least 3 to 1 with enemy caps. This might help balance stuff a little.
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.
