Uhm, there is not only fighters out here. It's almost impossible to escape from a fight using a gunboat or bigger. Medium cloak need 20 seconds, battleships 60 seconds even, and battleships don't have thrusters.
On the other hand, light cloaks work only for two minutes and some dumb people use the CD target bug to prevent people from cruising away.

Wow, things are that biased? Who thought 3 sec cloak on fighters was ok when battleships cloak for 60?
Otherwise cloaks will be an issue again. Particularly with the Nomads too when we have to deal with farmers.
Just be sneaky and subtle with the way you activate your cloak, it's fine as it is.

P.S. Instead of nerfing the CD why don't we buff it's counterparts so people have a reason to use them? Why was the Mini Razor nerfed anyways, did people really cry that much about being shotgunned?
The MR actually got its damage nerfed because 2.00s were buffed across the board. Anyway, the cloak times need to be closer together. 15-45 seconds between for fighters and battleships wouldn't be too bad. Right now its pretty much impossible to CD a cloaking fighter before the shield activates, and also impossible for a battleship to escape a fight with a cloak. Both should be hard but neither should be impossible, and unfortunately that's the case right now.

I still don't see the buff of 2.00s as a reason for the MR to be nerfed. The arc nerf on it was enough in my opinion. Right now it's inferior even to nuclear mines and those didn't get nerfed when weapon damage got buffed. Also managing to shotgun a fighter should be all the fighter's fault as you have to get hit from nearly point blank to have all the guns hit you. The amount of times I died to a shotgun can be counted on one hand, to be honest. The only good that came of it is that people actually also consider using a torpedo nowadays.
But that's probably for a different thread. Anyways I agree that fighter cloaks should be nerfed and heavier clocks buffed so they are more inline with each other.

why do we still have the cloak disruptor in this mod for if you want to keep use the CD? Just remove it. CD should stop the cruising engine, not for stopping the clock charging. CD only meant to be for disrupt the engine, you can still stop a ship by cloak disruptor while its getting charge. 3k/6k/9k with 30/60/90 cooldown, whats the problem for using the cloak disruptor ? So you can keep the CM and run away...

The problem with disrupting cloaks being limited exclusively to cloak disruptors is that everyone has a cloak because they have been in circulation on the server for four years, while people are still playing catch up with getting cloak disruptors.
Imo the cloak disruptor is a vital piece of a equipment that should be sold on regular bases for a modest sum of credits, but that's such a drastic change that I can't see it being signed off on.

I believe it is not hard job for the team nerfing the cloaking charge time, say
Cloaking Device Mk I charging time 3 sec only - make it 20 sec
Cloaking Device Mk II charging time 20 sec- make it 30 sec
Cloaking Device Mk III charging time 20- sec - make it 30 sec
Cloaking Device Advanced Mk II - 60 sec perfect

also battleships CAN sneak away. Again, you need to be subtle about it, not do at at the last second - way too predictable.
