Why are you not full hostile with everyone else, same with House assets and why are you putting scientist here? i thought the Nomads supposed to he hostile to everyone? i dont understand..especially if you realize that Nomads dont like anyone aside from the infected. Humans are in Nomadic Territory etc..

The primary reason behind this was to differentiate regular House assets and Order/Core. The latter are considered Arch Enemies, while the others (While hostile) are not an immediate threat/arch enemies. Obviously we will shoot at House assets and we will prioritize them over say Corp assets. Scientists were included since many are a thorn in our sides since we'd rather not have humans to gain more knowledge on us than what is already known.
It really is just a pecking order - If you had everyone in the same area at once, Core/Order die first, then Military, then Scientists, and then other targets of opportunity. That's why there are two different sections of hostiles. Think of Order/Core as "At War", where the others are "Hostile".
Also yes yes, I made the header graphics too big - will fix when I get home.
Hi. I have some feedback (or more accurately, a complaint) - both regarding the specific issue of a three-line decloak engage on someone I was roleplaying with by a Vagrant snub, and regarding the more general issue of the faction's general refusal/disinclination to group up with other Nomads/Wild. I wouldn't presume to guess exactly why you choose to do this, but it makes communicating with you very hard and annoying to deal with.
You can read the DSAce logs below. I don't have any screenshots, unfortunately, but I am sure you can ask Sombra for their side of the story, since I am sure they remember it just as clearly as I do.
Code:
[11.01.2017 18:49:50] Montagne|Aoi: Hello Zoner.
[11.01.2017 18:49:51] Montagne|Aoi: Cut your engines.
[11.01.2017 18:50:04] Montagne|Aoi: I said stop.
[11.01.2017 18:50:36] Free.Skies: Schmitt: Ahoihoi. You dont look so good
[11.01.2017 18:50:59] Onryo|Aoi: Fortunately enough, I feel quite fine.
[11.01.2017 18:51:10] Onryo|Aoi: What's your business here, Zoner?
[11.01.2017 18:51:18] Onryo|Aoi: These are troubled times to be flying solo.
[11.01.2017 18:51:44] Free.Skies: Schmitt: We dont care much for what the polititians do
[11.01.2017 18:51:58] Onryo|Aoi: I see.
[11.01.2017 18:52:00] Free.Skies: Schmitt: I have alawys flown solo and I always will
[11.01.2017 18:52:13] Free.Skies: I just got some repairs done in these parts
[11.01.2017 18:52:23] Free.Skies: Schmitt: Just getting out there again.
At this point, Kapheira decloaks about 1.5k away. There wasn't any PM warning about this, or even so much as a nod in my direction - I just had to deal with the fact that my until-now undercover RP with this Whale was being shafted six ways from Sunday by another player hungry for kills.
Code:
[11.01.2017 18:52:38] Vagrant.Kapheira: "The Light will not allow you to leave."
[11.01.2017 18:53:01] Free.Skies: Schmitt: *sighs* Great jellys
[11.01.2017 18:53:05] Vagrant.Kapheira: *Kapheira begins to glow.*
[11.01.2017 18:53:06] Onryo|Aoi: Yes, quite.
[11.01.2017 18:53:11] Montagne|Aoi: spam them a lot, if they cd you you won't blow yourself up
[11.01.2017 18:53:13] Onryo|Aoi: I did hint that it was rather dangerous to fly alone.
[11.01.2017 18:53:31] Onryo|Aoi: Particularly with no means of defending oneself.
[11.01.2017 18:53:33] Vagrant.Kapheira: "The Light will purge the Bystanders for their ignorance."
[11.01.2017 18:53:34] Onryo|Aoi: Wouldn't you agree, captain?
[11.01.2017 18:54:11] Death: Free.Skies was put out of action by Vagrant.Kapheira (Missile/Torpedo).
[11.01.2017 18:54:21] Vagrant.Kapheira: "Amusement."
Code:
[11.01.2017 18:58:22] Onryo|Aoi: // hi, can you maybe not do that or at least warn me beforehand?
[11.01.2017 18:58:34] Onryo|Aoi: // i don't care if you vagrants want to group off on yourself or w/e, but please don't jack my RP just because you-
[11.01.2017 18:58:34] Vagrant.Kapheira: // What?
[11.01.2017 18:58:35] Onryo|Aoi: // -can
[11.01.2017 18:58:51] Vagrant.Kapheira: // What do you mean?
[11.01.2017 18:59:03] Onryo|Aoi: // the zoner whale
[11.01.2017 18:59:15] Onryo|Aoi: // if i find him and i'm having a conversation undercover w/ him can you please just let it be
[11.01.2017 18:59:26] Onryo|Aoi: // i kinda don't need to be buzzkilled by 2 line engaging nomads from cloak
[11.01.2017 18:59:30] Vagrant.Kapheira: // Sorry, didn't know you had some serious plans with this one.
[11.01.2017 18:59:39] Vagrant.Kapheira: // Was three lines, by the way.
[11.01.2017 18:59:40] Onryo|Aoi: // well i didn't, but i enjoy playing the game too
[11.01.2017 18:59:54] Onryo|Aoi: // it's just courtesy :L
I didn't stick around long after that last line, but from the snippy attitude displayed already I didn't think much was going to improve from talking much further, at least in game.
I think it would be better if Vagrants, as a whole, reviewed their approach towards other players - even those on the same side. The whole 'separate groups' thing makes it impossible for me to know if you plan on jacking my potential RP with a decloak-into-bluemessage - it would be nice if some sort of warning or "leave him please" could be quietly dropped ooRP beforehand. He was going to wind up dead anyway, most likely, but I would've found it much more polite if you'd just let me do my thing instead of intervening into a situation where there's absolutely nothing I can do to get you to back off.

Since this is about me, I'll answer this. I also tried to tell the my point of view but you logged off before I was able to hit enter.
First of all, we choose to refuse grouping with non-Vagrant players as otherwise roleplay between the Vagrants and other nomads or infected instantly turns to zero. We're kinda annoyed to get group invitations from people that just want to tag along without having the need to put effort into something. We have our motivations and our own goals, and we wish K'hara to have their own goals and the Wild factions to have their own goals rather than just shadow us until a fight ensues. There is the only compromise I personally would offer, as group fights can better be coordinated this way. Aside from that, in Kappa is was me on my own, and later the other Vagrants were joining, so we had the requirements met to make our own group ingame. Aside from that, while chatter every now and then can be very nice, the Vagrants have a no-shittery-policy in group chats. (I'm not perfect myself, but there are player that reach, let's say, extraordinaire levels.)

Blaming me for decloaking without a warning is cheap, to bring it to the point. You could have acted in your role, which you choose to do not. You could have acted in a way that would not have blown your cover. However, from my point of view, the way you talked to the Whale pilot was a perfect introducion for a nomad to jump in. I mean, you were aware of a cloaked ship in range, and the same way you expected me to warn you about me decloaking, the same way I could have expected a PM telling me to not do anything. After all, there was like a minute of time before I started firing torpedos at the not-moving, unarmored, solo-flying Whale.
Doesn't mean that's a bad thing, since Nomads are supposed to kill humans, but I didn't get the impression that there was much going on anyways and I even waited a minute before I shot. I guess I need to apologize for misjudging you.

The green lines weren't meant to be snippy. I am sorry if you got that impression, but that was not my intention. In fact, I was rather surprised about your feedback. In the end, it would be a good thing for Aoi to have more people not just jumping into a fight but show your approach on roleplay.

I suggest you don't overreact here. Months of experience have shown we have enjoyed the game more and delivered more quality encounters when we were on our own and not in a group that is spamming memes in pink. The only thing I can do is apologizing for actually having had the wrong impression on you, as I got the very impression it was a good introduction to uncloak and, well, do what a nomad is supposed to do in their hunting grounds. In the end, the dialogue didn't really look like there would be much more than a little chit chatter be anyway.
