She points to the Turtle Creek "So, this thing contains a squid gate or what? What the..? In my system? Why did i not know anything about this? Look, i want you to swing your ass down there and show me what it looks like, just wanna see what i have to deal with."
She then points to the field that is on the lower end of the map. "I don't know anything about it and i doubt there is something intresting i mean, it looks like an antimatter field so it probably gives us nothing but damages."
"Yes. Squid gate. Damaged though. Nothing comes out. Only in. Nothing to defend. I'll try to lead you to it, but it is nearly impossible to find. Someone left a destroyed ship nearby though. Something to help."
He seemed done with the subject, satisfied with the fact that the gate posed no real threat. "Think deeper. The area erodes our hulls, yes. That gives us limited time within the field. However..."
He takes his pencil and writes a question mark in the field. "What can be repaired without a shipyard? What can be hidden within a field that ships cannot enter to find?"
Well, i have no freakin' clue what there is and as i said, the fact that nobody ever found something either means it is unexplored or it is just totally uninteresting."
"Then its our job to find out. Refugio is nearby for repairs, so we can stay a lot longer within the cloud without turning back for repairs."
He leans back in his seat. His agenda seems empty now.
A tall, unshaven man walks into the bar. He is wearing an old suit of Xeno Combat Armor from the early days of the Alliance. He looks around for a moment, then walks to an empty booth in the far corner. He notices the other two Xenos in the opposite corner, but says nothing. He just puts two fingers up to the barkeep, who proceeds to bring two bottles of Liberty Ale over to the man. The man grabs one Ale, and downs it in seconds. He then opens the second Ale, takes a sip, and leans back into the shadow of the corner.
Faye entered the bar as well and instantly made her way to the barkeeper. As she was about to order a drink, she noticed the man sitting in the corner with his Ale and sat down in front of him.
"Michael." she said and leaned on the small table with her right elbow, grabbing the bottle of Ale and taking a good sip by herself before almost ramming it back onto the table.
"You're not trying to down this without me, huh?" She asked and leaned back on her chair before putting both of her feet up on the table.
