I will agree that it is very fun to ram a capital ship and then get flung away at -999m/s speeds. But only when it is done in Connecticut or while fooling around with friendly ships if you are really that bored. What you definitely do NOT do is try using this same trick when your capital ship is about to die and you need a quick escape.

Your ship is in Bastille until you post here and explain you understand the above rule.

To be honest, this sanction is a bit of a surprise as we tried to report people for the same thing before and the response always was that it's a game bug you can do nothing about.

But I realised it to be shitty. I flipped away for about 10k, enough time to think during which I could have turned around and ran but I thought about what I was doing and engaged cruise to, not run but return to the fight and eventually die including a personalised blue message.

I was always of the opinion that exploiting needed to be malicious and if I return to then give my opponents their well earned kill instead of letting myself drift into the sun or turn around and leave then that's not really fitting that definition anymore. I am sorry that it happened and I went back to die and finish the fight for it.

Had I not wanted to continue fairly I could have either ran or do the same thing again.

Considering the staff discussion that followed this report and the lack of ambiguity on whether or not such a stunt is guilty or not, I do not see why such actions would be ignored in the past.
