I would like to report the successful completion of the following mission. Despite its inherent difficulties I believe I produced some amazing results over a span of many months.
Quote:Mission 49: Oversee development of LHZ8-B3S "Tormentor" Phase 1, Standard, Open
Arrange the delivery of exotic and rare materials which will be used during experimentation and testing of the new ship. High-tech equipment are required in massive quantities for reverse-engineering and research of their technologies.
Considering Hypnotainment Bands' perishable nature, these deliveries will not be sufficient to last during the entire mission. Finally, you may use money from the faction's treasury in order to fund those deliveries.
I started with the Independent Miners Guild which owed us some deliveries lately since our colleagues at Mactan lost their invaluable access to Freeport 4. After a bit of cunning persuasion on my part and with the assistance of Interruptor Tarn, I made them realize that they should organize a full convoy of Hypnotainment Bands to Cochrane Depot.
Afterwards, I attempted to complete the bulk of the remaining items by contacting our friends at the Woods Syndicate, however they failed to respond.
For the APM Advanced Hardware we used the incriminating intelligence on CR| and some thousands political refugees in order to secure a shipment of 20,000 units from the Büro der Marineintelligenz. It took them a while but they finally managed to get it done.
The remaining eleven materials were delivered by the highly efficient FL-ER. For this one, I couldn't avoid paying from the LH Treasury. It ultimately costed a total of 132 000 000 SC.
With my promotion to Interruptor and the thereby attached freedom it brings, I have recently found a rather nice book that I wanted to read, yet I couldn't reconcile the time I would need to invest with the fact that my effort should be better spent harassing Liberty's corporations and their military puppets at every turn. For that reason, I have sought and found a means to further our goals while still having enough time and capacity for some recreation, thus I have completed the following mission:
Lane Hacker Mission Archives Wrote:Mission 44: Support the Logistics Mission type: Standard Mission status: Open
The Lane Hacker Logistics are responsible for the faction's economy and combat-readiness. While our smuggling department is not as large as in other factions, it is nonetheless vital for the faction's survival and stability. It supports our exports, our foreign relations, and it supplies us with essential material. You are instructed to participate in smuggling operations and submit your results.
Phase 1, Repetitive Standard, Open
Complete one export and one import delivery. Refer to the Smuggling Operations paragraph for a list of eligible smuggling runs.
Phase 2, Repetitive Standard, Open
Complete all four inter-Liberty cardamine runs as explained in the Smuggling Operations paragraph.
For Phase 1, I picked up Counterfeit Software from Leiden and brought it to Malta, from where I took back a rather sizable load of orange, which was delivered to Leiden as outlined in the Smuggling Operations. Nothing noteworthy happened during the flight, which was all the better for me, as it gave me the time I needed to read. Phase 2 was a bit more adventurous, as I happened upon a rather nosey Navy puppy with the name Anna Brown. Apparently, she thought it would be a good idea to try and chase me without a cruise disruptor. I left her with the advice to best administer Cardamine to quench this idiocy. All necessary data will be attached now.
This mission was issued directly and privately by Professor Provocateur Nicole Hunter in May 822 A.S. after a very concerning propaganda message released by the Oracles, also known as the Cult of Sirius, an ultra-fanatic religious group which worships the nomads.
Top-secret intelligence was declassified by the Professor in order to aid me in my efforts. While the Oracles publicly appear as an open, alternative, mysterious, and progressive organization in reality it is an extremely secretive cult, hiding behind aliases, proxies and only indirectly they project their true goals, undoubtedly assigned to them by their alien masters.
After careful examination of the (albeit limited) information we had collected on this organization I concluded that the best course of action is to intercept and abduct the only known cultist in Liberty, Jim McKenna. The rest shown in the video were either untraceable or their identities were hidden. Alarmingly enough, Jim McKenna was also the Arbiter of the Junker Congress a fact which shows that the Oracles are also striving to infiltrate the leaderships of other organizations, forces and governments.
The mission was a success and the Arbiter of Congress was successfully abducted. In Leiden Base, I personally mania-interrogated the subject. Jim McKenna revealed the inner structure of the Oracles and goals. Apparently through their religious drive they continue to experiment on human mutation which created the so-called hybrid -- a mixture of human and nomad DNA. In addition, the Arbiter revealed that the Oracles have close relations with OSI, TAZ and the Legion. We already have evidence on the last, and as for the TAZ, the Grand Admiral of the Order has already revealed that in the past. Finally, he also mentioned that there is rivalry between the Crimson Cross and the Oracles.
McKenna had a single contact and superior from whom he received all his instructions. Subsequently my next step was to hit his superior and gain access to an even greater level of information. As described in my analysis I managed to locate a suspect who was going by the alias of Hans Campbell and proposed an armed assault mission. Professor Hunter authorized the mission.
Interruptor Freudenstein assisted me in this mission along with three more specialized Hackers. After we successfully infiltrated the planet, we proceeded to the closest hidden weapon stash from our target. Once my team was loaded with firearms, we hijacked a robotic squat. Our team approached the apartment with great care however before we entered we heard a single gunshot, "Hans Campbell" committed suicide rather than be caught alive. Inside the apartment we later realized this man had installed a sophisticated surveillance network which warned him of our approach. To make things even worse, a few moments before the suicide he had started an automated deletion of all his computer files, the process was protected by a Severus-type firewall. This was when my unique hacking skills proved particularly useful as I managed to overcome the firewall and stop the countdown. After the apartment was thoroughly examined and I copied the remaining files we successfully fled from the apartment and returned back to Mactan Base.
In the follow-up report I analyzed the retrieved information. Though the majority of it was either useless or too damaged to be restored we managed to retrieve some logs of outsiders who quite interestingly are in contact with the Oracle leadership as well as orders to this "Hans Campbell" by the person seemingly in command of all the Oracle operatives in Liberty, Isabelle Engler, a hybrid most likely. Despite the fact that the hybrid issued orders from the Omicrons, I decided that the next phase of the mission is to capture her in order to inflict a serious blow to the Oracles, as well as gain a unique chance to closely examine a hybrid. Another reason is that we'd otherwise be facing a dead-end.
With the help of Professor Hunter I initially contacted the Crimson Cross in order to help us with the intel however despite their acceptance they proved to be unreliable, for reasons unknown. However this significantly delayed the mission well into 823 A.S. while the mission was re-authorized by Senior Professor Moriarty. Simultaneously Interruptor Tarn contacted the Order in order to obtain information about the hybrids, and raise possible defences against their unknown abilities. This was followed up by another professional-level analysis by Mr Tarn, which was the fruits of a combined operation with Order operatives.
National Council's rise in Maltese politics and our early support guaranteed a close alliance with them. So there was hardly any doubt when we restated the proposal we initially offered to Crimson Cross, the Maltese quickly agreed to our proposal which allowed them to learn of The Council's secret Tau home system, Roussillon, in return for information about Isabelle Engler and freedom to do as we please with her as well as two more matters of lesser importance. Once we had a date and time Operation Recklessness was designed and prepared. The mission's dangers were all too well known from the very beginning, hence the mission's name. Instead of being alone, Isabelle Engler had a full escort wing which ultimately failed the mission and I suspect that the infectees within the National Council were behind this and betrayed us. This is the full report including all the conclusions which stem out of this result.
Subsequently, and since there are no more important leads to follow or expect to uncover in the short-term future, I hereby submit Mission 42 for evaluation by the Professorship.
Mission 50 Phase 3 report.
As requested by miss Grubozaboyschikov I have gathered 10 samples of the chemical being expelled from the California and New York jump gate the so called NEMP bomb removed the ability to dock but it's defences are still armed anyway on to the Proof.
We have success! The vital parts of the mission are accomplished!
Even though now we have received word that all repairs that are needed for the repair of the Jump Gate to be completed, this is a great victory.
Not only has Liberty been thrown into a state of cause of unlawful groups running rampid through Liberty Space.
Not only has our operations become easier to do while the major gate has been blocked.
With this technology, we are one step closer to realizing any new Ageria advancements first hand, and probably also specializing a virus to hack into the gate systems!
The Liberty Government, with their arrogance, had forced the Ageria to delivering updated parts to an old system. With access to these updates we are in good shape.
Good work, everyone! And oh man.... That transport got vaporized in a heart beat....
During successful lockdown operation in Colorado system, I encountered a Freelancer captain flying a Mammoth loaded with Docking Ring Parts. Attempts to extract information or the cargo itself failed and I had no other choice but to dispose of the infidel after he started to fire back at my EMP shots. I looted the cargo and deliver it to Cochrane Depot where our engineers can make further attempts at researching it.
This report has been a few weeks in waiting, i had some issues retrieving the data from my blackbox after my first ship was badly damaged in the last cardamine run
While on a recon mission in New York looking for vessels using lane hacker equipment i was approached by a vessel with the callsign Lizzy.Hunter.. I immediately recognized the vessel as one of our own Vindicators. I proceeded to ask some questions of the pilot who, in an awkward manner, proceeded to tell me that She was once a member of the Lane Hackers now a defector to our cause. The vessel was not hostile to myself, or so it seemed. Unfortunately my conversation with this person was cut short by the arrival of the bounty hunter 'the huntress' whom i'm sure you are aware of Logs of the ship in question
Buonasera,
not wishing to waste any potential information on my jouney to meet the University of Cambridge Scientist Alfred Steiner. To avoid direct contact with the authorities I decides to take a route on the outskirts of Bretonia utilising Newcastle. As this route has potential for our investigations I decided to fulfill the following mission brief, in particular Phase 1.
Mission 27: Investigate Wilde activity in Bretonia and Kusari Mission level: Advanced Mission type: Single Mission status: Open
Recently we have noticed increased activity of the Wild in Bretonia and Kusari, coupled with the reemergence of a group called Aoi Iseijin. Investigate activity of the Nomad infected in these regions and gather as much intelligence as possible. Maintain a low profile during the mission and avoid any direct combat. Be advised that it a mission of the highest risk. Do not get yourself killed or worse! Consult reports from Mission 1 and 13 before starting.
Phase 1, Advanced, Single, Open
Investigate Wild activity in the Bretonia-Liberty corridor.
Sadly this phase of investigation was not really fruitful with limited Wild Activity. However whilst circumnavigating the system to the base of our friends in the North West Quadrant my sensors picked up a beacon indicating a potential entry point to land on Planet Hartlepool, it appeared similar to the atmospheric docking at Planet Leeds.
However, it is not this is some strange jump route leading to a Bretonian space I do not think we are fully aware of, something that is possibly codenamed Planet Darlington. This was no atmosphere but a totally new system, heavily patrolled by Bretonians, there is a resident battleship, Grimsby, a derelict research station, an apparently still occupied one, Sunderland but the crown jewel, is below.
Sadly I could not spend longer there, it is very radioactive, hostile and I had an appontment to keep.
I am getting a little suspicious of the appointment, by a strange coincidence I ran into the scientists brother, a BAF officer who kindly escorted me out of Bretonian space into uncharted Omegas. I have no recent contact with the scientist so am beginning to wonder if this was a ruse to offer BAF an opportunity for a close look at a LH~ ship.
Good evening to you all. This is to report that, after a few long months, I have completed the test flights of the LHX7 Bomber and LHX9 Gunship prototypes. I have also included a short description regarding the ships themselves. I apologise this took so long.
Mission 49: Oversee development of LHX7 bomber - Phase 2
Introduction
The LHX7-B5H bomber, or more simply the ‘Tormentor’ is a marvel of engineering. Aside from finding an odd but very acceptable balance between sheer firepower and mathematical harmony. I should stress however, that this is, by no means, a light ship. It’s heavy in almost every regard, it has heavy firepower, it’s heavy to fly and it’s armour is thick. However it is well balanced, walking a fine line between able to take and deal out heavy punishment, yet being able to speedily slip away once the task is done.
Test logs
Day one: Today revolved around getting a feel for the ship, as balanced as it is, I can’t help but point out the heavy nature of the ship. Engines only ever do so much to offset the armour of any ship. I must admit I was set on the idea that bombers were slow, unmaneuverable and were at a significant disadvantage when it came to defence and pursuit. This line of thought does not hold completely true for the LHX7. As mentioned however, this ship very well balanced, it’s turn rate and engine kill speed disprove my assertions that bombers were slow and couldn’t defend themselves. In the right hands this ship can quite easily hold it’s own in a fight. There are few performance issues of note. Day one concludes with no issues or observations of note.
Day two: Having familiarized myself with the movement and weight of the ship I began to test it’s stress levels, putting it through it’s paces, as it were. To say it is ‘fast’ would be doing it a disservice, it’s speed puts most super heavy fighters and a few very heavy fighters to shame. The boys down in engineering went all out with the engines, that much is obvious. I dare say someone from intelligence also suggested that the ship be able to recharge it’s core quicker than the average bomber. This ship can sneak up on a target, charge it’s core quickly and then leg it. Due to its balance, flying it under pressure is not an issue. Credit to the boys at Mactan for helping me.
Day three: Weapons testing is always enjoyable, but I simply wish to say that I was a little scared by what I saw today and I feel nothing but pity for the widows this ship will leave behind. And I do say widows because I cannot see how there would be any survivors should ‘hellstorm’ hit it’s target. The main cannon (the ‘hellstorm’) is capable of destroying light fighters, VHFs, SHFs, bombers and civilian transports in one shot. It ignores all ‘lesser’ armour types and is only stopped with capital and heavy armour classes. Even then, Gunboats best take care, this weapon will burn through armour faster than most captains would like if they are careless. If a wing of these ships were on the prowl then simple Gunboats will not be enough, a group of Hellstrom's fired in unison will cause significant damage to Cruisers.[/spoiler]

LHX7-B5H "Tormentor" Lane Hacker Bomber
Faced with an increasing pressure from the capital vessels of more and more aggressive domestic fleets, Lane Hackers desperately required an appropriate response. This response was the Tormentor. Developed over a year of extensive modifications of the LX7 mainframe the ship is a complete contradiction of a typical Hacker design. Equipped with an overpowered prototype double-core engine, reinforced plating and vast array of heavy armaments this state-of-the-art bomber looks heavy, feels heavy and delivers a punishment worthy of its name. Instead of relying on agility and swiftness for survival, Tormentor combines firepower with advanced guidance and electronic warfare systems designed to crush any opposition and vanish long before hostile reinforcements can arrive.
"Hellstorm" Lane Hacker Plasma Forward Gun
Hellstorm is an example of how quick and efficient Lane Hackers can be in reverse-engineering of stolen technology. Shortly after market debut of first prototypes of plasma bomb Lane Hacker engineers started experimenting with a concept of a particle accelerator utilizing electromagnetic rails to propel and overheat plasma. Hellstorm's initial plasma charge is formed in an ionization chamber and then ejected into a long tube where electromagnetic field increases its velocity and energy load. As a result fired projectile is faster and more devastating than a regular plasma bomb, while its electromagnetic discharge remains deadly for any shield generator. The only downside of Hellstorm design is that it is too large for standard weapon mounts and has to be built deep into a ship fuselage.
