Real Step 1: Build it where no one checks. Several Omega systems, some Taus, Sigmas, anywhere in Tohoku, Bremen, Zeta, Minor, Rho, Chi, 99/Psi, and all of Gallia (save for Leeds) would be a great place. No one really goes there anymore, so there would be a smaller chance of them randomly rolling over it.

Real Step 2: Place it off plain in an area no one would really check. No, not in the corner of A1 because that is where I found a base (and magically two days later the GRN did too. -.o) Try an area away from the majority of NPC bases/lanes/patrol/wrecks/jumpholes so that further reduces random encounters.

Real Step 3: Make the resupply trips as short as possible while following Steps 1 and 2. You are trying to hide it from being seen in the first place.

If you somehow fail at once of these steps: Blow the base up yourself and go elsewhere.

Also the group i am talking about have a very very dirty history of troubles towards many people, so it's very obvious that it's in their nature to enjoy causing troubles to others, and this comes from the lack of manners and respect. Think about it this way, and everything will be okay

By the way, i have hundreds of friends, in games online and in real life, and i am always welcoming anyone who want to have me as a friend, anytime and always. All what is required is some respect and good manners.

First to start with THANKS, your answers help and at the same time they dont. Im really not thinking of a base but would definitely like to put up a bar. Now the purpose of the bar is for normal space nuts and bolts to come have some fun. In that context hiding it defeats d purpose. Getting a bunch of patrons would be the primary goal. I know that any half normal space nut or bolt would rather have a beer and get laid than destroy the bar where he can do that.

Unfortunately as I suspected and just found out from the above not all space nuts n bolts are the normal kind. Some possibly even lead an alternative lifestyle n carry a destructive chip on their shoulder. Thats why the question on how to protect it. I have no issue paying rental for the space it occupies but I also carry a major chip on my shoulder which activates when facing extortionism.

I did though get here quite a bit of good advice on how to protect it and I dont mind spending every last credit I would have to do it. Am quite sure a number of veterans would even volunteer to protect it.

Ran a bar several years ago on a FL forum and the RP was the hottest thing around. At least I thought so. Would like to have a go at it again so any relevant advice in the above context would be great.
