Hey I have a question, you said earlier that Duvelske and GamerGirls actions have sparked this drastic move you are making to lock down the server and make it more secure.
You also said that their hacking actions over the past few days on the server, are you saying that after they have been banned they were still on the server hacking?
What kinda hacking were they doing? no need for specifics just a general idea would be good
Lastly you said hacking lately has become rampant?
We cant really see things from your end (Admin wise), so I think alot of us are in the dark about what challenges you are currently facing....
I have played here on and off since 2007, seen many changes, mods, polices etc. I have read the first few pages of this discussion and just sit here shaking my head. I don't keep up with the server "politics" and other non-sense with personal issues players have against each other or the server. I come here to enjoy the game and interact with others I come across. Some interactions are fun others I want to reach through my screen and choke out the player, but that is like life in general. Taking an outsiders point of view, if I was a new player and told I had to play in Penn only for 2 weeks before I could explore and enjoy the game, I'd be put off and go elsewhere. Two weeks of Penn would get old real fast, sure could spend a few days building up credits but there has to be a better way. Things must have really spiraled down a bad path to come to this. Freelancer has been out since 2003, not a new game.

I am not Alley, but yes. It´s not actually first time this happens. Though it´s likely only Duvelske behind the hacking.

Same as three years or so back when we had problems with hackers - ships with instakill loadout (because weapon stats are changed) killing everything around. Dunno if any other types of hacking appeared like money making.

Situation became a real problem since the hacker can bypass the ban constantly. Basically if he is kicked out of the server and access data he used are banned, he joins again shortly after with another access data (new IP and PC machine identification). That´s why unique tokens for identification of unique players are needed. At least this is what I know.

Since you need a forum account to post the application form for membership, its already attached to the forum.

I must agree with Rogue here, you can't force someone to spend 2 weeks in Penny, imagine you'd be put in one system for 2 weeks, what do you do? Do missions all day? That's like a punch in the face for new players to be honest.

Judging from what he tells me on skype this is indeed the case. As for why, he seems to hate Alley with such a passion that he decides its best to just ruin it for us all.

That´s really sad. But I wonder if he will realize that result of what he does is basically turning Alley in the all time hero of the community, just look in the recent threads. If he will continue, majority of communtiy will likely start to worship her soon. So I don´t think this is good way how to take a revenge on somebody...

I already asked what he hopes to achieve, couldnt get a really clear answer.
When i pointed out that what he is doing is against hte law here in the netherlands, and even confronted him with the penalty for doing it (at least a year of jail and a fine of about €10.000 or higher), yet it didnt seem to get into his skull.
