Also, I'd be happy if you showed me in the rules where it says that this ship is restricted.
I'd be happy if anyone could show me in the rules where it says that civilian guns are restricted... Oh look, that isn't there either.
I do not like the black market arguement one bit, honestly. Its the results that bug me more than anything else, when I see Outcasts fighting Corsairs, both flying the same ship, as both legally can. I have to accept it, because what else can I do?
Technically, the Xenos cannot afford Eagles or Civilian bombers. They can only afford hawks and the odd falcon and blazer. But here's the thing. The RP is bent in a way to make it fair for the Xenos so they can at least defend themselves when the uber capzorz come waltzing down aisle one, gunning for Ouray or Barrow. I do not think that this should be bent anymore to allow anything other than the Eagle and Civilian bomber. Also, I think we can all agree that the RT doesn't really convey a "Xeno feel" to it.
"Its sold on a Zoner base" doesn't really work either, as a lot of things are sold on a Zoner base. Can a Corsair or Outcast use an Eagle because its sold on a Zoner base? I wouldn't think so unless there was an RP reason for it.
The IMG arguement is okay though, and in the spirit of compromise, a few RTs for the upper echelons of Xeno leadership may be available. It would not be mainstream though, as Liberty may view this as the IMG supplying their enemy and take appropriate action to purge the IMG in their zone of influence. Like the IMG hasn't got enough problems already, with Outcasts and the Kusari/Bretonia war.
I agree that as far as looks go, RT isnt much of a xeno type ship. But, i dont think that is much of an argument though.
One more thing that could be important is the energy issue, as the eagle cant handle more than 2 black widows and some shield busters, not to mention 4 solid hull guns plus shield busters. Yes, this is a kind of a pvp argument, but fighting is an important part of RP, otherwise i dont see why someone would go with capships on a faction that has no ships of its own, let alone caps. You cant do much RP if you're dead.
As for the ''flies like a brick'' part, i tend to disagree there. I'd take on any fighter in my RT any day, and twice on sunday:P
1) This IS a good ship... Probably not the best, but a good one...
2) I don't see ANY point where xenos could borrow it. Ok, leaders could have enough money and influence to do it, but then, any Xeno would !
3) About no ship sold in Xeno bases, fix it with admins, this will definitly bring a solution : if it's sold, OK, never mind... If not... *I'll not flame this time...*
OK for gentle RP, OK for gentle PvP too. What do you prefer ?
Hurk hurk hurk...
