Isn't that the fundamental undertone of each one of us hiding behind computer screens?
We display in a virtual reality what we want people to perceive us by and most of the time we don't actually display what we are like in reality due to the lack of consequences we are met with when being douches online.
This same perception is undertaken by people at the top and us people at the bottom. That is what I believe we are trying to understand here; who is the self proclaimed boss of Disco (lord knows we've had a few over the years) and how will they help Marburg address the issue he is raising.

all I did was pose an initial question...which took a while to get an answer to...I did ask flat out basically " what can we do to help" which has yet to be answered.
Participate in the community in a way that makes us unneeded.

As much as you might want a single "boss" to exist, there is none. The admin team members have been working together as a consortium with equal say for two years and that is not going to change today.
Even on the internet and only in text-based communication, it is possible to address people in a way that is respectful. For example, actually reading what oneself is about to post, thinking about what might trigger what kind of perception. If I want people to answer my question, I ask politely and try to not be a dick. You get what you give. And from what I experienced so far, the greens and yellows are normal mortal humans like anyone else here. Direct approach was always successful in my cases, as people explained me their points of view. And then they started sending me weird pictures via Skype.
Alley, I understand why you get frustrated with this place, & why you intermittently ditch & try to go live a life, but in spite of your stated intentions, you never actually leave...for example, all I had to do was send a few PM's about this threads existence, & you were there toot suite to rail on it...now, I get it...you can't ever really leave because you hold the keys...but what you & the rest NEED to do YESTERDAY is to restructure the infrastructure.
Given that this place is so tiny nowandays, there's no excuse for not being transparent
Disco can exist without you. make that a reality again.
Being too transparent opens you up for another cluster of attacks. Seriously, leave the admin business to the admins. You're past that point, and telling Alley to go while she is still more helpful than you is just another dick move. I'd rather encourage people to stay, which requires less being dicks and more being a valuable part of the community.
I saw this thread and replied to it because it was in the latest activity sidebar??? I don't need people to PM me to have a look at that.
Are you sure you're okay
