''Weber'' Alexander replied ''Nice to meet you, and No, I did not get her drunk...she did that on her own. But now it is time for bed by the looks of things''
"Yea she always did manage to get herself drunk. Yea it looks like it, c'mon you." He hoisted his sister to her feet, she leaned heavily on him, but could manage to walk, somewhat. " You got a way of getting home?"
Miles laughed a bit. "She actually let you pay? Or she's probably too drunk to care." The man helped her sister walk to the door. "Hey..... Keep safe you, no gettin hurt, I still owe you drinks.." This was all Nicole managed before her words became utter nonsense. "Cya 'round, Weber." With that, the siblings disappeared, the elder brother carrying his drunken sister home.
He watched them go, a small smile on his face. Nicole wrapped up in her brothers arms, it was a conforting sight, one that warmed his heart a little. Knowing that there was someone who wasn't alone was a nice thought.
''They'll be alright sir'' Tom said coming over to him ''Reckon that young lad will see them right I do''
''They will be.'' Alexander said in agreement, ''Will you be alright Tom? You need a hand with closing?''
''Ach I've told you before Laddie, I've strenght in my bones yet. I can manage, you get yourself home and have a cuppa, pub will still be here in the morning''
Alexander laughed at the old man's comments ''Fine, as you wish old boy. Have a good one''
The old barkeep waved him off and went about calling ''Last Orders!'' before taking his customary position up behind the bar. Alexander pulled his coat around him and trudged out the back, lighting a smoke before continuing on his way.
