please excuse the delay, the IRG had some internals to discuss about. In regards of your request, we might have some good news for you. The IRG has already done surfacial research on Omega 41s' neutron star, even though these are just basics we can build on that and like to send a small research team to further look into the research locally. In the meantime we will schedule a temporary 3rd party supply of required food and will work out a proper final solution for that issue.
Damn, I am surprised people are still willing to support those in need of serious help!
Paul McAvoy,
I will look into it and soon will contact specialists to deliver some precious cobalt. Meanwhile IRG offered its help so we will use it as temporary solution. I hereby thank you in name of Zoners and people living and working on 5th Freeport.
Star Enterprises,
I am glad you are helping us that much. Thank you so much, however I am not able to provide you with any reward yet. I owe you a favor however.
Dr. Samson,
Better late than never huh? We will gladly accept your research team and will provide them with necessary equipment, apartment and food. Thank you for your help.
As soon as we finish repairs and upgrades, I would love to invite you all to ceremony which includes music, dinner, bar and nice atmosphere here on Freeport 5.

Greetings, Administrator Malakai!
I am Hans von Goeben, leading scientist in the biotechnology branch of the Ingenuus Research Group. One of my superiors, Professor Samson, contacted you a few days ago with the offer to help the people of Freeport 5. Admittedly, the numerous donations and support offers you've received over time are a sign that there is still humanitarian sense left in the Omegas, despite all those shady elements in that sector.
Anyway. We would like to propose a solution for the decay of food on your station:
Keeping the radiation out should be the top priority, of course. The most efficient method would be a classic protection layer. Compared to a shield, this concept does not need any form of energy while maintenance is way cheaper and easier to perform. Plus, it offers nearly the same amount of protection.
I was thinking of a separate, large chamber where you can store your food. A module we can be easily docked and installed to the Freeport. The double walls are made of Ultralloy with lead as the main component. Inbetween the walls will be three meters of water using Deuterium as hydrogen. This combination slows down and stops alpha, beta and gamma radiation and also absorbs radical Neutrons.
Of course there will always be some harmful radiation beaming through even the best layers, so the second measure is shock frosting. With a stopped metabolism, fresh consumables do not transcribe genetic defects inflicted by radiation and can be preserved for an extremly long time. You will notice only minor changes in taste when reversing the procedure, but consider this method optional. The chamber itself is safe enough already.
Thirdly, water. A traditional approach is sufficient. With IRG's chemical filtration system, even the tiniest amounts of radiation can be removed from liquids.
With these three steps, I personally guarantee you a radiation-free dinner party, Administrator.
Let me know via this NeuralNet adress if you're interested in such an installation. Since the Freeport is in a dire situation, my department will only demand the production cost as payment if you decide to purchase it.
Whatever your decision will be, the organisation will send the promised research team asap after you replied. This way, our Logistic Department can arrange the transport of the team AND the delivery of the chamber at one go.
Your proposal makes sense and I'll gladly invest my funds and time for safety of my Freeport. I would love to purchase your anti-radiation set, meanwhile rooms for your team are already prepared.
However can you please inform us how much credits should we prepare for such set?

Greetings Administrator!
We'd charge you 20 Million Sirian Credits for the construction, installation and delivery of the food storage. This also covers the transport costs and wage for the research team.
I hope you'll deem the sum acceptable.
I am very satisfied that we were able to offer you a sufficient solution about the current issue at Freeport 5. However, I was visiting the station myself and I noticed that the power supply is far from being optimal, especially in this region of space. Therefore I have a new proposal for you.
The Ingenuus Research Group likes to develop a stationary (PSED-System) power supply and energy distribution system based on our Ingenuus Cell technology. We seek to create a final highly efficient and most optimal PSED-System installable into every Zoner Freeport. As this being a prototype project the system will be for free for you, our personnel will just require housing at the development time. I hope, but I am pretty sure you like this proposal. If you have further questions, please, feel free to ask.

Greetings Administrator!
The crew consists of 30 members, all trained specialists in their fields of proficiency. I am also happy to announce that the chamber is finished and ready for installation. The transport will arrive in a few hours. I will personally supervise the procedure.

Hello once more, Administrator!
Captain Davis Jones' transport has arrived and is waiting for mooring allowance. Within the vessel, we got everything you required, and even some more.
IRG's engineers and Material Research Department outdid themselve with the preservation chamber. The combination of various alloys from the best manufacturers available to us with Samarium as a neutron damper plus Titanium for supreme stability resulted in extraordinary protection against both radiation and physical damage.
Furthermore, the cooling system is capable of shock-frosting every kind of food you like to store for a long period of time. Liquids will be cleaned through Nano-Filters and other special membranes, so contamination of any kind is impossible. Radiation will be neutralized by chemical treatment; the initial supply should last for about two years.
The science crew is also awaiting your approval for making themselve a home on your Freeport. Researchers, Surveyors and Scientists will solve the mystery of the Neutron Star, and beyond, if necessary.
As you can see, we are ready to assist Freeport 5. All it takes is giving us the green light.
