Alright chaps.
First patrol of California went smooth. I started from the Cortez Gate and moved towards Los Angeles, there I picked up Nick's transponder. So I headed over there and checked the area. I met Nick and another fella but nothing worth mentioning, since Nick had talked with said fella. Anyways, I continued and moved to Riverside and met Knight Daniels. Together we continued to California Minor and then the Magellan Gate. All clear, no sightings of anything.
From there we moved back to Los Angeles and over to the Cortez Gate. Taking a small detour to the Cortez Jumphole and then moving on to the Ontario Gate. Still, everything was quiet. Back at Los Angeles we met with Nick again and proceeded to California Minor and moved to the Pennsylvania Jumphole.
There we met a lone Hacker that got destroyed by us and claims on his head were made, with the pay going to Daniels. We then continued to move over to Hope's Watch for a small patrol. Though Daniels said he's going to take care of that part.

Knights.
Several events worth noting today. First, the contact and destruction of one of the SCRA, shortly after the bounties on their heads rose over night. A second combat operation ensued in Pennsylvania much later, where Daniels and Hendrix put another of the Lane Hacker pilots down.
Now that the boring combat reports are processed, I'll move onto the interesting find of the day. An encounter with a member of Battlegroup Harmony, near Planet Los Angeles. While there was a notable tension, conflict was avoided, and enough of a civil discourse was had to lead me to believe the ship, callsign H|-Lambda.1, was a scout. While we have made considerable efforts to avoid entering the civil war between Liberty forces and its separatist groups, I fear that in the coming days we may be forced into it, as our contract with PFI requires our aid in the defense of California.
Aside that, business as usual. Work on both Hope's Watch and Glendalough is well under way, and requires only minimal effort from our side at this point in time.

Howdy,
I don't know if this will reach anyone, but I figured I'll give it a shot anyway.
I'm running out of supplies. Oxygen's about 50%, water's about 40%, and worst of all I am now completely out of booze. At least the food's doing alright. I can't find my way back out and Picket's map isn't helping either. It's a good thing I came with Spanner while she was fully supplied, I'd have already been cooked if I came in the Arrow.
While I was attempting to test Picket's conversational skills - thanks a lot for only putting that one recording on him by the way, I got mighty bored and decided to take a ride. After a long, long time of testing my skills in dodging rocks - I still got it by the way, I discovered that there is in fact an end to the rocks. Very far away from the sun, I damn near froze to death so all of you better appreciate the hell out of these shots or I'll cruise all the way back to Liberty and paint your ships with - you get it.
Jokes aside, if you've found this message on my black box and the transmission did in fact not reach anyone... Well, don't feel bad. I really do like it here. It's pretty. Hell, I might even stay. Carve out a little rock house or whatever.
P.S. Picket MkII better have a lot more talk in him.

Alright chaps.
We had a brief run in with some SCRA Capitals and a RHA fighter. The bretonian forces took care of the communists while me and Seraph.3 went after the Hessian. Anna Heinrich was the callsign, a tough women that fights like a devil. Anyways, we held her off as long as we could. In the meantime the Bretonians destroyed the communists while I got hammered at by the devil. And as lucky as I am sometimes, my controls blocked for a second, leaving me to eat a few heavy shots that eventually lead to my ejection.
At least the Bretonians are nice enough to retrieve the pods of their mercs. Garrus out.

Daniels reporting for duty.
I've been involved into one of our regular patrols in the California system. As I was taking flanking position alongside operative Garrus and Overlord Stenn, we have stumbled upon nothing but space dust. Oddly enough, no susupicious-looking ships were sighted in the system. Instead, we decided to resume our patrol within the large asteroid field within the Pennsylvania system, which resulted into a nuisance. A generic Lane Hacker was flying by himself and got savagely mauled from my 'widers. Good ol' Garrus took care of the thing with an incredibly well timed Antimatter shot. Once the thing has been dealt with, we decided to return to our former Hope HQ to restock.

Knights.
At 23:49 SMT I gave the order for Haven's jumpdrive to be coupled with the IRG Cell we've been using to power the ship. While the attempted operation was successful, the damage Haven sustained due to a lack of safety measures given our short time frame is beyond expected, and the ship will have to undergo repair efforts once more. Now that the bad news is out of the way, on to the reason I gave an order that put my life, and all those aboard Haven in danger.
As some of you are aware, we have the Picket drone permanently stationed in the elusive Uncharted system. This is part of an on going operation in regards to that system. What is not part of the standard operations for the system was the series events that led up to Knight Gerald Carry being trapped in the system with Picket when the anomalous jumphole's that gave access into and out of the system disappeared.
As such, we were running out of time as Gerald survived on minimal supplies already present with him on his ship. We managed to make use of a faint signal being broadcast from Picket and Gerald's ship to attempt a guided jump into the Uncharted system. I am glad to report that the operation was a success, and Gerald Carry has been recovered, alive, if barely, by rescue teams aboard the Haven. During our recovery mission, we took the time to download Picket's data banks, as well. This data will be examined and scoured for useful data. Picket remains on site in Uncharted.

Alright chaps.
I had a brief conversation with the Hellfire Ship '[HF]-Orionis' and it's pilot Christopher Dalgaard, the Executive Commander of the Legion. First he wanted to know more about our Organization and why we don't attack them, after that a quick explanation, why I made the call not to attack the Legion.
As it happens, he said that there might be a opportunity for a 'contract' since we eliminate their enemies as well. He only had one proposition up front: Don't attack the Legion or their allies the Xenos. Since we had a few run ins with the Xenos already, we should try to minimize the aggression from our side, at least until the initial talks are over. And yes, I mentioned 'talks'. I gave Dalgaard a link for a safe communications channel so that he is able to contact us. Therefor expect a 'letter' pretty soon. Complete blackbox recording is attached.
Also I shot down a nice uncle named Willy, good pilot. Garrus out.
[HF]-Orionis: I take it you have that rogue under control, merc?
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: Yes, all under control.
[HF]-Orionis: I have my vengeance and you have your bounty.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: Sure thing. I won't stop you.
[HF]-Orionis: The only thing I know about your.. company, is from scattered rumors of your good deds.
[HF]-Orionis: Deeds, even.
[HF]-Orionis: Tell me more.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: Just remember, we're not your enemies. We don't interfere with the war between the Hellfire and the Navy.
[HF]-Orionis: I noticed on multiple occasions.
[HF]-Orionis: But I'd like to know more about your organization.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: Simply put, we're mercanaries, hunting for money.
[HF]-Orionis: If that were truly the case, you'd be hunting us as well.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: We meddle in several fields, escorting, hunting and information gathering.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: Technically we should but I made the call not to attack the Legion.
[HF]-Orionis: You made this choice? Why?
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: We don't like to interfere in a "civil war", if you want to call it that.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: Also, from what we heared, you people aren't the usual cutthroats nor pirates.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: You are rebels in my eyes.
[HF]-Orionis: We are rebels. But the Libertonian Government isn't fond of that terminology.
[HF]-Orionis: Fosters sympathy.
[HF]-Orionis: Terrorists and Insurgents is a better term for them to use about us.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: They may use that term, though we gather informations from different sources and therefor we consider you rebels.
[HF]-Orionis: Then we may have future relations given your more liberal insight.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: I'd be happy to improve relations and work together somtimes.
[HF]-Orionis: As the Legion's Executive Commander, you've made a good first impression with the right person.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: And to make it more formal, Garrus Hendrix, Knight Captain of the Forlorn Hope. Pleased to meet you.
[HF]-Orionis: Executive Commander Christopher Dalgaard of the Legion. Likewise.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: Heh, seems I've met the right person.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: I'll send you the direct communications channel if you feel like you got something to discuss with our organization.
[HF]-Orionis: Please do.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: *Garrus forwards a link to a direct communications channel*
[HF]-Orionis: I'll be in touch.
[HF]-Orionis: More specifically, our shared enemies in Kansas and Pennsylvania might prove a worthwhile means of growing closer.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: Most likely.
[HF]-Orionis: The only excluded targets will obvious be civilians and the xenos.
[HF]-Orionis: Obviously, rather.
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: We never intended to attack civilians. As for the Xenos, we had little seen from them and if we aren't attacked first,
Forlorn|-Garrus:Hendrix: we won't attack them if you'd like us to.

Buenas tardes,
You probably don't know me and I most likely don't know you either. Time to get acquainted I guess? I'm Carmen (you can call me Summer too) and I promised Nick to help around however I can. Hopefully I won't trash the Sabre he was generous enough to lend me as well.
Anyways I flew around and found what appears to be a yet to be charted system in Kusari with an unstable jumphole in Shikoku, sector C3, lower left quadrant. The Kusari Naval Forces seem to be aware of it but haven't locked the place up. It's residents from what I got are split in two factions - some wannabe Zoners and some pirates called "Defilers" or something equally edgy. Scanners didn't show any valuable materials worth mining in the system but one of the stations there looks like worth checking out. Oh also the Navals have moved a battleship in that Uncharted system as well. They seem to have interest in the place.
Oh I also got to shoot a Commune pilot (Nick, I hope you're happy). What else, what else? Oh yeah, Nick, when you have some more time ping me I got something else I gotta tell you. Something I got asked to relay directly to you.
Hope to see you all in space, Carmen
The Forlorn Hope
