This only means for us that we find other ways to rise tensions to make things unavoidable escalate in a RP PoV. Rheinland's reaction inRP was reasonable but for future gameplay and story development it will need more than just this, sure. So instead of getting dismotivated see the good thing: Rheinlanders are insecure now, how much did the GMG really do etc. .. soooo all it needs is more pushing (Like Aoi is trying their best already) and make it slowly escalate. We cannot expect a full scale war after one shady attack guys, if you want to throw away that last bit of realism for the sake of gameplay meh..
They were given several choices, one of which was "investigate".
They chose "investigate" because it would basically assure finding out the truth and normalisation of relations. Which shafts everyone who has done extended RPs pushing for it in RM, UN, Kruger, BDM. Who are also Rheinland's most active groups. Go figure.
You see. Let me repeat what I said so often today already: Fulda is just the very beginning, it was never supposed to be the one thing that triggers the full scale war. It mostly failed rising the tensions, this doesn't mean it is over. Jeez.

There's only so much intrigue we can do without a GMG to do intrigue with. I'm running out of ideas for RP and interaction without the main character of this story development. I believe that main character would appear if they had a rad ID which let them shoot lots of people, mine, and enforce laws in their space.

That would surely lead to sufficient GMGs appearing to have atleast some smaller battles with them, yeah.
When it comes to GMG-Rheinland, I'd see an actual trade war. In response to Rheinland banning all the GMG ships, the GMG would respond with higher taxes for Rheinland corporates. The GMG-Rheinland diplomatic relations deteriorate with more and more trade restrictions, embargoes until one side loses their mind and does the preempitive strike in order to make a point.
GMG H-Fuel is not needed by Rheinland, since they use different fuels, but Sigma-13 is the very important bottleneck in trade with Kusari. From the other side, Kusari would look coldly at GMG taxes upon their dearest ally and impose their own taxes if GMG points majority the H-Fuel trade into Liberty.
There, we have a nice and lore-friendly keg full of gunpowder.

How do people log for a trade war?
Give GMG a nice sellpoint in Frankfurt, give Kruger/Daumann/Republican nice sellpoint in Honshu. Make GMG catch Rheinlanders, make RFP and Military catch GMG. In addition to that, unlawfuls, Kruger and Hogosha pirating in Sigmas would also have something to do that way, if traders would try to avoid Sigma-13 at all cost.

I'm not a doctor.
Don't need to be a doctor to have patients. Could be a therapist. Maybe a vet?

Players cannot be entrusted with gameplay-impacting development.
These have to be top-down decisions - as sad as that is.

People did the RP, there was some good collaboration, the vote was split 50/50 in the Bundestag, Because unlawful and non-faction agencies arn't permitted to vote, major RP entities involved in the conflict couldn't do jack.
We were all lied to, those of us who have been working towards it for a year.
What an absolute waste of time for everyone who did the roleplay.

As a main secretary of the Bundestag, I am surprised to read this. Because I don´t know from who your information are, but as a person sitting in the the Bundestag and processing stuff, I can tell you that final decision was not made yet. Just because people refused to play dumb idiots which eat the bait despite it smells like s**t and does not make sense, it does not mean the conflict will not happen one way or another. How about you wait until the decision is reached and -then- complain?
(10-22-2017, 07:11 PM)Tænì Wrote: Ignore them. People are going to play safe when Trade Factions are allowed to vote on war declarations, because trade factions don't benefit from wars that cut trade lanes.
And now you owe apology to two of three Rhein trading factions, because - surprise, suprise - they were actually between first who supported the conflict scenario.
