Mining Nomads isn't something this mod needs, however if you buffed the sell price to 30k , it can attract attention and as this was previously mentioned, nomads could actually do their job and harrass them, it would seriously buff Omicrons activity.
I agree that the mod doesn't need it, but it'd be nice.
I know there's an argument that Nomads don't need money, so why mine, but if the gas could be used for something in RP, I don't see that it'd be a bad thing. Anyway, if Nomads don't need money, why isn't all their kit free?
The way that Nomad gameplay works, not to mention the Nomad shipline, really doesn't allow for "economic" activity of any sort. I doubt that'll change anytime soon.
The intended reason for the absurdly slow mining is to expose people doing it for an extended period of time in a dangerous location. Now with profits to match, that might still attract people to do it. If somebody wants to torture themselves by properly testing the mining time with a more accurate result than "It takes like, half an hour to fill a 5k", including a comparative value for a different ore using the same ship type and bonus, maybe something can be done about it.
I would also suggest increasing the speed at least a little bit, even if the profits match most people probably won't be terribly enthusiastic about mining for half an hour, because that is frankly boring.
Either that, or remove the "drag" from the area and reduce the radiation damage, so it's physically easier. I tried it in an AI Dromedary and it was a painful experience.
Foxglove tried that and got loads of stick for it. Also, a lot of Nomad missions can't be taken, cos they require a tractor beam, which indies don't have.
Nomads need higher paying missions or bounties for killing everything. We dont need to sit on our asses and collect more vespene gas.

Quite hard to do when the guy doesn't even have proper connection over where he's at currently. Hell, he's sporadically on the chat since the only time I see him he is on through the phone from what I know. So until that changes, can't do much.
(Meanwhile I just hope I'm relaying old words through correctly.)
