I think it would be a good thing to increase the size of the minable asteroids, the small stuff that you need to shoot in order to get ores. And i have two reasons:
It will be easier to mine, easier on the eyes, easier to see them and not waste time to look for black points on a black background.
It will look better when you shoot them, and feel like mining real asteroid with those real mining ships.
It shouldn't be too difficult i believe, you first need to upscale the models of the asteroids and secondly you need to upscale the explosion effect of them. I'll try to do a simulation on single player if anyone is interested.
Aren't the explode-able asteroids in part of Alberta's eastern asteroid field sizably large? I could be wrong on that, but I swear they are. While somewhat terrifying, I would agree that trying to pick out small rocks amongst the 2D space dust while in first person view is hard on the eyes, at times. I would support this, even if it meant a very slight nerf in mining yields to compensate for being able to see the rocks and hit them more often.
I can't deal with the bloom mod, if that's the translation for enb. I think the hardest field for me to mine is Dublin's gold field. I couldn't stand it - had to go somewhere else.
Probably that issue is solved with the Hi-Def Freelancer starsphere mod pack, though.
Edit: Blood mod? Good heavens, no! I meant bloom mod. Also it's more that my eyes strain with bloom mod on.

lots of Gamers use computers a lot (not to use tearm to much),
therefore they have bad ays. Bad ays = they see bad in mining field = they have trouble mining(not to mention to winn in battles also).
I'll check out the field in Alberta, thanks for the tip. And the idea came up while mining in Dublin so there clearly is a need at least for that field.
Can we get a poll going for Dublin at least?
