While obviously not knowing the server rules is not an excuse, you must also understand that we depend on rules only because that the roleplay environment we need cannot be enforced by game mechanics. In the year 2018, you need to be hard pressed to find popular games which require the player to memorize server rules. It is not easy, especially for newer members in terms of actual age. It is beyond the norm these days to have a gaming server expect you to memorize a legal document on top of all of the ID mechanics and limitations, roleplay laws, not to mention lore. What you are hoping for would be nice, especially for staff members, but the reality is that new members will make mistakes and vets will often choose to take a puncture to the wallet either for the sake of a statement against someone they do not like or for the fun of it. As such, punishments are tailored for the occasion and you will see that we physically may not treat players equally on that front. Leeway for newbies will be larger - vets will be disciplined much more harshly.
Honestly though cannot go one month without at least 1-2 vet players ending up there too. But still this is flood, this was a distraction out of boredom.

If you want, would rather get paintball guns and shoot each other though.
