My childhood dream was to be a pilot. I still yearn for the skies sometimes, but I realized recently that I'm living another dream right now. I'm working a job with great health benefits and living with and planning on getting married to one of my best friends in the galaxy. Said employment has plenty of opportunities for advancement, and the retirement benefits are great, too. I suppose the only way my living dream could be better is if I was living back in Oregon and had all of the same job benefits as I do now. I miss my family, sometimes, and wish they weren't so far away.
My dream... That's a good one... My dream is and was to sail the blue seas. To be a captain or a crew member of a ship and not a space ship. A crew member of a ship that sails on water. I know mind blowing, a ship that doesn't fly. :3

Good for you, though.
Better be on a boat then in a deep ocean full of creatures that we will never understand.
And my dream will come true soon. If my training will be successful I will be there very soon. )
I'm just waiting when that random chance of a comet striking our planet becomes real. Other than that? Dunno. A remastered Freelancer would make me really happy.

Still, Life is good.
Mine was also to be a pilot. However, I was advised to finish college before joining the Air Force (I dropped out of high school). Then, I was no longer eligible post college because of my medical condition. I’m working on my LSA, though. You could do that as a hobby!
