If you're rping on other chars but doing that run, I consider it hypocritical
So your complaint is that when traders see a swarm of (OPG) pirate ships in a particular system, they use a different trade route? Isn't that exactly how traders are SUPPOSED to RP?

Enjoy the freedom ... uber-cap Bounty Hunters are probably bored right now since they have few pirates to pick on. Traders are getting bored on their never ending back and forth trade runs. House militaries and police are eating donuts because there's nobody to chase around.
The problem is that this is a Catch 22 situation. Without the anti-pirate capships in Sigma 13, you have a pirate gunboat (usually with the super-turrets rather than faction ones) up against a trading vessel, which is just as big a mismatch as BH Cruiser vs pirate gunboat. Just be glad there isn't an official GMG faction yet, or you'd get just as much hassle in Sigma 13 as you do in House space.
No longer active online due to a dwindling amount of non-PvP (trading, pirating, mining, etc.) fun in the new version.
Let me point you to the RHA "Enough is enough" topic in the RP forum. This is a response to the fact that we can't go pirating in groups of one or two anymore, we have to go in groups of five or more (including two-three bombers due to extreme inadequacies of the Thor) in order to avoid getting cap raped. This sounds like a good thing, but it's hard to get 5 people actually online. The other day the RHA toasted about 4 BCs, a GB and two bombers in the space of an hour. All of them BHG of course. Indie pirates have nothing to look for in S-13 and adjacent territories, the BHG capwhores made sure of that with their dumb displays.
Here's an idea. Add me on Skype and bug me whenever there is a BHG cap invasion in S-13 or New Berlin. I wonder if we can come online regularly every 4 hours and just dispose of them every time, so they figure how useless their capships are..
About the GMG: They stick to Naha. It's faction policy not to help out any traders away from the trade lanes, since they bring the pirates down on themselves. And I completely agree with it too.

There's no Catch 22. And you cannot compare a gunboat to a battle cruiser. First, transports don't use up 100% of their bats when their shields go down. You can regen shields about 3 or 4 times before we can get to your hull ... so a Trader can last a long time before he's in trouble ... long enough for help to arrive or to get away. Second, Bounty Hunters in battle cruisers melt a Pirate's gunboat like a hot knife through butter. My gunboat typically runs from a fight with a battle cruiser with a sliver of hull left and no bats or bots to speak of ... all in a couple of minutes. So please spare me the comparison ... its not the same.
Now ... if the Bounty Hunters would come into Sigma 13 with a cruiser or a destroyer ... your point would be valid. But the Bounty Hunters I've seen parked in front of Yanagi ... 90% of the time, they've been in battle cruisers. For a comparison ... a battle cruiser against a gunboat is like a destroyer against a transport ... something that's forbidden.
Ok ... now with regard to the GMG. First, GMG are enemies of Rheinland ... so those trade vessels coming FROM New Berlin are not exactly gonna be seen as friendly since they are supporting Rheinland by purchasing their diamonds and selling them to Kusari ... and then bringing Niobium back to Rheinland. So GMG would likely welcome the Pirates to cut down on Rheinland's trade. Second ... GMG don't care about pirates. They're a corporation ... and my Pirate does not bother the GMG.
OH ... to all you Bounty Hunters out there. The Junkers don't hire you guys to hunt Pirates. Its a bit OORP ... so don't come around Yanagi trying to claim you're hunting me at the request of the Junkers ... who are my allies by the way. Get in the role play folks and stop trying to loophole support for your PVP whoredom.

I have not been pirated once??? I did make a (volentary) donation to the people of Kusari, and even that was a shocked to guy asking.
So where are the pirates hiding out? are they in deeper omega space or what?
Where do I have to go to get ganked?
Name of character and what time are you on the server?:P
wait wait wait wait x5...
The bounty hunters parked there say that the most active and biggest smuggling organization hired them to "bring some law" to sigma 13 because their friends "the pirates" are getting out of control?
