No, server commands that do not modify anything about your gear will not bump your character.

If you have autobuy enabled (which you should), the CM usage will ensure something ends up being "bought" by the ship. That combined with the undocking should be more than enough to ensure they're fine.

Edit: Ah, good to know then, @sindroms! I will probably stick to CM-undock dropping from now on.

I guess:
/givecash Mybank 100000
from "MyNotSoUsedCharacter" I want to bump should do the trick.

But what about:
/givecash MyNotSoUsedCharacter 100000
from "MyBank", would that work?
Maybe logging "MyNotSoUsedCharacter" afterwards is required for the money to be actually transferred?

I personally bump my ships by selling nanobots and batts, then after a week or so, I log them all again and autobuy buys them again. This way, even if there was a rollback, my shippies should be bumped. At least that is a theory.

Undock, drop a CM, dock. If your ship doesn't have CMs, type /shields, regen your shield and dock. You need to have autobuy activated for this.

Would not the sole fact of changing amount of (nanobots, batts, CMs, ammo, commodities, credits...) in your hold trigger update of your character file?

I appreciate the detailed responses here! So for my Mining ship, I could logon and simply mine a single asteroid or easier just sell / buy shield batteries to ensure it isn’t deleted?

That is a pro-tip about auto buying I had never tried that feature before. I am sure that saves lots of time.
