I never thought I'd ever see this after
what we from Kruger actually did to revive the Faction.
Even though many weren't there, it was still kicking.
Poor choice

What kind of double standards are we dealing here? Please explain the points spoken above.
PS: When I say given, I mean the green name and the description above the avatar.
So, let me set some records right before the rumour mill goes in to full swing.
1) The Admins didn't give the Faction to Owen. The last post from you, Geolog, to us about Samura was 18-07-2017. You apparently, then, disappeared off the Face of the Earth.
Then on the 08-12-2017 we received a Player's Request, from Lambda asking to be given the Leadership of Samura, because apparently, you were nowhere to be found. The decision came back, and I quote:
Quote:pm sent, giving him new pw and putting him to FL (until Geolog comes back or 3 months have transpired from today's date).
This was dated: 08-01-2018
Now the 3 month's from that date has been and gone and still not a murmur from you.
On the, 15-01-2018, Lambda handed the reins over to Owen (and as far as we were concerned, he was the next caretaker until the 3 months were up). Yet again, not a murmur from you.
The 3 months ended on the 04-08-2018 (and still no murmur from you)(This now apparently being approx. 9 months since you went away). This then made Owen, under our ruling, now the Official Faction Leader of Samura.
2) Now, as we have done so, in the past, we have generally kept out of in 'Faction Fighting' about who is/is not the Faction Leader, other than to say that the present one (one that appears on our List of Official Faction Leaders, now visible to all), has the call to hand over the reins to the next Leader. We generally only get involved when said Leader disappears and the Members approach us to make a new one (we like to give the 'disappeared Leader' a chance to 're-appear' before we hand the reins officially over).
3) We, in the case of Samura, were suddenly approached by a plethora of people all claiming to want/been voted to run Samura. Then the reigning Samura Leader, Owens, steps forward and Posts that he has handed the Leadership over to Laz.
Now, normally, in the past, we have supported the 'outgoing' Leader's wish in who is to run the Faction. But, in the meantime, another steps in and tells us that he has the support of the Members.
As I said, above, the way it works, is that the 'outgoing' Leader has handed it over to a non-Official Faction Samura Player (who by the way, apparently runs an unofficial Samura Faction). We then discussed this and decided that this was by-passing the Unofficial to Official route and therefore was unacceptable.
So, with the effective stalemate, with about 5 Player's Requests claiming Ownership of the Samura Official Faction and the one that effectively having the most 'legal' claim on the Faction, using the standard we have set for Official Faction Leader's Rights, using a back-door to get his Faction Official, we decided the best option was to make the Faction, Unofficial.
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person
If the faction is stable, it should be able to reobtain officialdom within a month or so. Also it would prove that it is actually worth officaldoming in the first place, given how old factions are prone to stagnation.

There are arguments for and against what has happened here and I honestly understand both sides.
I think the best way forward here is to make an official faction creation request. There has been a lot of uncertainty and inactivity lately so it's difficult to truly determine what exactly is going on, but if the faction is active and organised enough going forward then a short two month period will result in officialdom once again and we're back to how things were. If this isn't achieved then unofficial is where the faction should be.
My recommendation to the Samura players is to get a writeup posted and show that the faction is properly united and back in action again. If it is, then making official again will be easy.

Well, this was your intention since the beggining.

Thats the point, i love to hate Spazzy
Lets just require officialdom, isnt hard: we have the players, the money the ships.
Better than other ppl getting it, and slowly killing while its members stop playing.
