I like the idea of precious cultural artifacts very much. Valuable heirlooms, collector replicas and so forth would be very interesting to the wealthy elites of various markets who probably are getting tired of "regular" artifacts... Plus it plays well into the traditionalist-culturally attached Dragon archetype.

I want anything what i can haul from Kyoto back on coalition ships (aside sake). Peoples want to see Kusarian arts. After ideology checks of course. Also we need machines to recultivate lands.
I’d appreciate it if these commodities had a high buying price, but even higher selling price to accentuate their worth and rarity. Would also add another dynamic to the risky smuggling by having more on the line per run.

Yes, and yes! I've been wanting to see something like this for years, now. Something that which breaks the "sacred X credits per second" rule by being a high risk/high reward type of commodity; something that can potentially compete with even ore trading, at the cost of the commodity having an absurdly high initial investment cost, as well as being considered contraband in most places.
This would encourage the player to avoid trade lanes/gates, as well as even hire a scout to keep their cargo safe. Because if a pirate or lawful catches you with such a commodity, they're liable to make some serious bank off of you.
