Doe Industries was founded in 819 during which Jess and John Doe held majority stocks in the Deep Space Engineering corporation. Their early success lead to them developing a Corporate Trust upon which they could secure their assets. Many of their earlier triumphs with various projects saw great return and as such Doe Industries capital grew quickly. With the war of the time with Rheinland and now with Gallia closing in on the borders, Doe Industries and Deep Space Engineering were able to increase production across all their platforms to meet the increased demand of their hardware. The boron mines on Planet Pittsburgh also saw large increase in productivity with the influx of refugees coming in from Bretonia. This created a population crisis with unemployment soaring and living conditions declining. This inspired Mrs Doe to go forth and use Doe Industries to fund a new charity group specializing in tackling the issue. Various new programs were put in place and further development of the planet was in the process of construction to offer an ease on the burdened system.
After a family crisis which lead to the Doe's losing majority shareholding of Deep Space Engineering, John began to invest more heavily into Doe Industries on a corporate level. After further selling off DSE shares, John had a large return in his investment and it is with this capital and his own personal wealth he began to chase new enterprises. With various companies under their umbrella, Doe Industries is still maintaining it's position on the Liberty market.
One of their latest offerings is finance and insurance, making a start on the already cut throat stock market and is expanding their interests across the Liberty sector. With still a minority share in Deep Space Engineering, they are still maintaining the capabilities and offer varied construction services. Currently one of the largest mining facilities known to Sirius is located in the northern sectors of Planet Pittsburgh, employs over 70,000 people and is continually expanding their operations . While the work crisis is up, so is productivity. Doe Industries currently invests over $3,000,000,000 credits a year into upgrades and new facilities and experts predict that by the end of 827, more than 300,000 migrants will be employed globally.
The continued lane service provided by Deep Space Engineering is still a lucrative contract, and Doe Industries engineers are still the experts when it comes to heavy construction. While there are many other divisions of Deep Space Engineering offering a variety of services, Doe Industries specializes more on manufacturing, salvage and mining. Operations in Texas are still maintaining a steady workload and rumors have it of a lucrative scrap field in the borders systems between Liberty and Rheinland.
To save costs, Doe Industries went away with their own fleet and started contracting out. In doing so, they invested forty percent capital in a new start up logistics company. [This is yet to be updated.]
To help aid Liberty's crippling fuel crisis, Doe Industries refineries on Planet Pittsburgh are working over time to try and meet the demand on the market. Previous deals with the Gas Miners Guild provided a relief to a high demand economy.
The Cold Lake Project in Alberta is still the Does's greatest achievement yet, with the best part of 6 years of planning, developing, manufacturing and constructing, the super gate in Alberta is in its final stages of completion. Doe Industries as a corporation are waiting on baited breath to see this long time money sink bear fruits.
Doe Industries is head quartered in the orbit of Planet Pittsburgh, aboard their station Doe Industries Space Port. Their current goals are to develop further networks and work on regaining majority shares of the Deep Space Engineering corporation.
