Motivation for joining the Bretonia Armed Forces: I wish to serve our House so that it can finally see some better days.
Short biography: I was born on Planet Leeds and grew up on there until the war with Kusari had gotten so close to our borders that the planet was in danger. My mother and little brother were then moved to Cambridge where we had some relatives and where we could settle down. My father being a captain of a Churchill had been on duty most of the time and my mother had always worried for him. However he always came back to us, that is until one day he didn't.
Once Gallia had entered the Taus his vessel was amongst the first to get engaged and sadly he did not survive. From that day on I knew I needed to work hard and join the Armed Forces because soon enough the front line was getting closer and closer to us. They had Leeds some time after and now they are even knocking straight onto New London. I may be fresh out of the Academy but I have the ambition to help our people and help rid Bretonia of the Gauls, as well as any other that mean it harm.

Short biography
As a daughter of divorced parents that weren't masters of peaceful communication both before and after their holy union came to an end, I had it worse then some but still better than most. My father was an "alternative medicine specialist" on the Luxury Liner Shetland in Newcastle, you know, one of those that take completely insignificant pieces of matter, put them together, boil some of the water down, press all this shi... stuff through some glass bits and pieces and then sell it as The Essence of Mu to some stupid and preferably terminally ill people. I mean, it's not like the dead are going to need their cash and Thomas the Father had a very colourful palette of needs that needed fulfilling on a daily basis.
My mother, Francesca, is an ex-prostitute, um, masseuse with some additional gimmicks on her menu. Coming from the family of Lanthanum miners of Leeds, she wanted a different life and got it. Sort of. By the time she was 20 she met my dad, who was diligently fulfilling the first of his favourite needs underneath, above and behind her. Admittedly he fell in love with her, and according to her promised from now on to take care of this particular need with her and her only, till the end of his days. Having merely 5 minutes to another client's visit, she decided that determination in throbbing must be a sign of a wider stick-it-to-iveness of his character which is always a good thing, right, and said "yes".

My entire adult life has been spent serving in Her Majesty's Armed Forces. Before my assignment to the Academy, I was the Commanding Officer of the HMS Sovereign.
Motivation for joining the Bretonia Armed Forces:
I have been teaching at the Academy since 818, and I wish to return to a battlefield command. I understand if there are no open billets at my current rank, and I am willing to take a temporary reduction in rank if needed.
Short biography:
Winston Doyle was born in 774 to a side branch of one of New London's lesser noble families. Upon coming of age, Doyle attended the Dartmouth Naval Academy. After graduating in the upper third of his class, Doyle rose through the ranks at the usual pace.
He was eventually assigned as Commodore Lord Mountbatten's Executive Officer aboard the Destroyer Sovereign. He sided with Lord Mountbatten in the September Rebellion of 816. After the Rebellion ended, he was pardoned alongside everyone else involved and was permitted to retain his post. After Lord Mountbatten retired to the House of Lords, Doyle was promoted to Captain and given command of the Sovereign.
Now in command, Doyle distinguished himself on the front lines of the Tau War. After the Destroyer Sovereign was lost successfully defending LD-14 from an overwhelming Kusari attack, Doyle was rewarded with the command of a newly commissioned Dunkirk-class HMS Sovereign. He was also moved to the top of the promotion list for new Commodores.
In 818, Commodore Doyle accepted a teaching post at the Academy to help train a new generation of Officers to defend Bretonia against her enemies.
