I figured since Z21 and Alaska are not clan-owned, anyone with a good RP reason and the proper ID/ship were fine (you have to make an exception if they are going there to get a LSF ID, since alaska is the only place you can get it)
I realize this was a mistake and killhappyfool admitted to it, I'm not trying to flame you or anything.
I agree, it's not a guard system and it's not faction owned. The SA/LSF really have no right to restrict it to themselves or approved players... Anyone with a navy or lsf tag -and- ID should be allowed, other vessels are shoot on sight.
Just cause I can...I'mma stick my head in again. Remember this doesn't have much to do with today's situation, but the rules quoting thats going on.
The factions have no right to control Alaska any more than the indies, true. But they also have the right to rp that any individual player is a spy or insane or whatever. It doesn't even have to be powerplaying, they can just claim intel about such, whether or not the character is acting that way, it does not matter. I believe this is no more powerplaying than an indie claiming to be an admiral, and the factions cannot stop them.
It is an RP server, true, but much is decided through PVP, and I very much doubt the admins are getting involved in this unless someone breaks the rules. it is not against the rules to attack someone in your own npc faction, though it is against the rules to attack anyone without an rp justification. Maybe too fine a point, but you cannot claim there is no RP behind an attack merely because the attacker came from the same faction as the attacked. Such claims are ridiculous, and often ignore a good deal of RP.
Wow 1 thing i do find down right funny is when i first started my navy char(many month's back). I was helping an LSF pilot chase down a smuggler who got past him with cardi/docked at manhattin/then ran back to mine field. I stopped my pursuit at the JG claiming i do not have permission to enter. I was then ordered into the JG, and told, and i quote "you have permission to go in after any smuggler you see" . 1 hour later when i came out another LSF opened fire on me with no warning because i came from alaska.
Now i ask you. WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THE CHAIN OF COMMAND IN LSF?
My navy ship will enter/leave when ever it see's a need to. Also i think my navy char is only 1 that ever's patrol's Texas/cali/colorado as i have never seen another Lawful ship there unless chasing a player there.
I also do not know where any faction can say i cannot go there without there permission. As an admin gave me permission month's ago. ADMIN'S POWER OVER RULE'S ANY FACTION'S. DO NOT LIKE IT SHOOT ME.I CAN TAKE SCREEN'S OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

As I eventually realized it was his first time I ended up marking it off as such and didn't even look at putting him on the KoS list. Sorry I forgot to mention that too you. I was really tired last night and soon logged off the game. Sorry if i did over step my bounds, when you have had to chase and chase and chase people claiming things like this it gets brain fusing at times....
I did eventually point him to the forums to post about it and get things cleared up. And since he is here I think things will be fine. Considering how I saw him handle things last night I am sure he will be a great Roleplayer for the disco server.
Again my sincerest apologies and thanks to you for being so patient and cooperative.
All who arent directly involved in the OP's question,
take this discussion to flood please. Don't turn this guys thread
into a opinion bash - and the original people who are involved are happy.

Interesting. Very interesting. Sooo you are saying my navy cruiser can run around killing any LSF/SA/LNS ship i see, IF i say in RP Oh know he is crasy kill him. Or i can run around killing trader's saying OH know he is a nomad. Get real! If that were the case, anyone at anytime can just go and kill any onther player in game saying i had an "RP" reason to do that. Even if he is in my faction.
Please someone else jump in here. Am i wrong? Is this not an opening to PVP just because you can make up a reason?
Ryoken...has a sanction gone through?
Thats really what I'm saying here. There are two sets of rules, the Admin Server Rules, and the in RP laws, which are entirely different objects. True, there is not a single server rule against you being there, but there may well be a faction rp law against it, and I have never seen an admin restrict such a law.
Admins say you can go there, and yes, you can. But the factions are under no obligation to allow you to go there. They can shoot you, as is there only recourse when enforcing an RP law. The RP law cannot be enforced by admins, because it is an RP object, and in RP, the highest use of force available to the LSF is to shoot you. I'm muddling the issue, but my point is, what the factions are doing, whether it be capship restrictions or system restrictions, or just shooting OORP traders, is not at all against the rules.

Sorry to ruin your excuse, but the first thing I tend to do when I log my SA is send people out to patrol those systems
Also, we may not have any jurisdiction there, but, as Unselie said, we can sure as hell RP you being a spy/infected/etc.
Mostly, we don't let you there unless you have a huge excuse, namely, what your mission there is, LSF usually don't tend to hang around Alaska for a few drinks, they are usually on a mission, and, if your RP excuse is good enough, we may let you go, every situation hasn't got a bit of RP at the start and then a fight, this is RP, you -can- talk your way outa stuff, like, I once saw a Mandalorian, he RPed being captured by Order, but the way he talked led me to thinking he was infected, so, on advice from someone in group, I asked him a question a non-infected mandalorian would know.
It was, who is/was the mandalorian's biggest client when he flew a container transport, an speaks of a 'jedi' kind of thing?
Answer was Yoda, the mandalorian, took a while, but got it, and, instead of pew pew bang bang boom, he got away without getting shot at.
(that mandalorian was Or'dinii or something like that, nice RP back there
Yes, ryoken, thats what I'm saying. Though, I dont think you need just to be able to say you have RP, you need to construct the RP for it. Factions do this all the time, a very notable example of which would be the Harris plague, which I still 'quarentine' people for, as a matter of fact. Symptoms include delusions of the world being some large game, insisntence on loling...which must be some form of gaging, as far as I can tell.
So, You can attack anyone you want, with a little bit of an RP beforehand, but, of course, since there will probably be more LSF, when they turn it around on you, and a large group says that you must be the crazy one, suffering from Harris plague, well, you made your nest.
