After a conversation with one of your faction members on Discord PM I am reassured to know that you will not change your conduct. However, I will humour you a little with a reply, and to clarify precisely what went down. Besides, we haven't had a good drama for a while, even the most recent Zoner stuff is underwhelming.
Quote:Please provide us evidence of this 4 v 1? In the records i've got, it was a 2 v 1 to start of with, the GRI killed one of those making it a 1 v 1.
Quote:The GRI in question we dealt with the day before, in a similar situation, but Maquis where out numbered
So first you justify your conduct by saying that you "only" outnumbered me 2v1 in the beginning (ignoring the fact that out of the four Maquis ships involved two were Pliers which is an important fact I will get to in a moment) and you don't find anything strange about that. Subsequently, you are outraged at the fact that it took 4 GRI to kill 3 Maquis (despite the fact that it was "only" 2v2 in the beginning).
Quote:skilled, and the GRI would happily shield run, hug the bases
Then we approach the fact that you fly Pliers.
Now, I wouldn't really mind if my opponent flew a superior ship of the same class as I do, but the issue with the Plier is that alone it's an extremely good ship, with Cap6 armour and double missile it becomes busted and with holes in its hitbox and -40 reverse speed is broken and overpowered. If you can honestly claim that GRI "outskill" you while flying Lynxes (which are below-average fighters) or even Sunbeams (which are marginally better, although still mediocre in duels) then I'm sorry but you're wrong.
Unfortunately for you, the only hope for our pilots in that fight was waiting for you to run out of ammo which is a standard tactic against overpowered, ammo-based weapons and in my view, entirely excuses base hugging.
Quote:To the point one Plier had no guns what so ever, and it took 4 GRI to kill it, and they where very aware of that, and do you see any Maquis going to a GRI feedback thread?
Because leveling criticism against GRI in that situation is absolutely unjustified as only two GRI| ships were inovlved in that fight, in contrast with four tagged [MQS] ships who were implicated in the situation that started this entire exchange.
Quote:But when does fairplay come into play? You can never make things fair, 1 v 1 it is down to the players ability, ship class and expierence and much more.
You can very easily make all snub fights, even those where the enemy is vastly outnumbered, fun by not engaging all at once but instead going for a series of 1v1 duels. This is one of the most basic unwritten rules of fun Discovery snub pvp. Unfortunately you chose to all out attack with 4 people so it's quite clear you understand the meaning of "gank" very well and choose not to subscribe to this idea.
Unfortunately for you again, many other factions that I interacted with over the years had the gentleman spirit to uphold that idea and in cases of overwhelming numerical advantage you give the underdog an ability to fight their way through. After all, defeating five enemies, even if they are slightly worse in pvp skill than you, is no mean feat and remains a fond memory even to this day.
Quote:DSAce Logs, Images, Video's, something to back up you're allegation.
Sure. While group chat logs I got from one of the Maquis pilots involved aren't the most authoritative evidence, they show your unhinged attitude towards that fight.

Also here's the video of our supposed "gank" on your pilots.
I hope you will rethink your conduct because as far as I'm concerned if you continue, your faction will be dead before it even had a chance to start, for the reasons Alley outlined.
I'd highly suggest that you stop griefing indie transports. My friends are just returning, and having their ships blown up on the spot for just transporting goods is not the warmest of welcomes.
I'd suggest you try to RP a bit with transports, extracting information and credits instead of blowing them up and stealing all their cargo without a way of compromise.
That's just my opinion, though. I wouldn't blame you if you keep griefing transports, I'll just make it my mission to destroy every [MQS] ship I come across if you keep destroying all my friends you come across.

An eye for an eye, if you know what I mean
Terrorist faction blows a corporate ship up = Considered griefing???
What's next, piracy is also considered as griefing?
Seriously, get some escorts and stop being mad, space is dangerous.
Perhaps I didn't get my point across clearly. I want this faction to ROLEPLAY. You're too quick to act on your desires for the blue, and it makes you look like griefers instead of legitimate terrorists.
If you roleplay, maybe you could even turn more civilians to your cause. It'll benefit everyone in the end if you put effort into your roleplay.

We will take this into consideration, we thank you for the constructive feedback, but there is video evidence and DSAce logs of us roleplaying for a good few minutes before even making a demand, unless the player we are roleplaying/pirating is in a rush, or is clearly trying to run from us. But 99% of the time we offer more roleplay then "Drop Cargo or Die." You will not be seeing that from the Maquis, we can't pirate for credit's due to our ID not allowing this, but we've put our official faction request in with adjustments to the Maquis ID for the Official Maquis ID. So it will allow us to do that.
But I like the idea of maybe bringing more civilians into the cause of supplying Council bases and Maquis bases instead of The Crown's property. But we will see where roleplay leads.

The Maquis description in game has them as pretty ruthless extremist that the Council only associates with out of necessity. The idea of turning civilians to your cause is what the Council is about.

RP = Roleplay = Playing your role = Shooting hostiles when situation demands so = PvP. If you read the info about Maquis you'll see that them playing their role accurately will mostly be combat.
Hunting transports for the sake of hunting transports is seen as poor sport, but it's too early for you to make that accusation. That doesn't mean that transports they meet have a magical barrier that prevents the Maquis from touching them. In fact blowing them up as they stumble across them accidentally is perfectly fine for the faction's roleplay, but stalking every transport in the area to get a cheap blue isn't. There's a big difference.
This is the first time ever that I have put in Feedback to a Faction (at least as far as I can remember).
I have just witnessed a fight that you had just a few minutes ago. I didn't see all the fight, but the start and finish.
Is it, with you, a case of you always need to win?
It started off when I met one of your CAU armoured GAT, in IDF, and we started having a chat. No problem here.
Then some GRP Light Fighter happened to undock from where we were sat.
Next , another of yours logged and appeared in a CAU armoured Freighter. Still no problem.
Next a Gallic Destroyer turns up and a fighter ensures.
A third MQS, in a Bomber turns up, keeps the Destroyer engaged whilst the first 2 disappear and relog Bombers. Still no problem here.
Now the Destroyer is being fought by 3 Bombers all armed to the max with anti-cap weapons. No problem.
It appeared to me that you were slowly wearing him down, but he was doing some damage to you also.
I left the scene, after one of you declared me as an undesirable, (left me under no illusion that my Trade Ship would be the dessert after the main course had been dealt with). Still happy with everything.
I moved in to the next System and carried on. Whilst I was there I saw a message that one of you (you know who it was) committed suicide by Planet/Sun diving (or accidentally hit a Planet). A few minutes later you were still logged in.
When I came back in to IDF, the suicide person was back in the fight.
I subsequently spoke to the person who was flying the Destroyer (by pm) and he said that a couple of you had gone to restock (possibly one of those that committed suicide). This is where I have the problem. Is winning that important that you run away, suicide, so you can reappear, on full health and come back to the fight asap?
You even had a 4th guy coming up from Languedoc to give you a hand, which he eventually did.
This will leave people no incentive to deal with you.
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person
