So, there I was, minding my own business when a pal asked if I wanted to fire up a Xeno character for good times. Not having any pew pew experience and enjoying the prospect of tacking that bit of RP I went for it.
No, rather than going and picking up an Eagle, I stated that our outfit might not be bad off with a bomber, on account of the fact that sometimes it's nice to be able to bomb things.
But, before I wreck too much damage with the 'ol Civvie bomber, is that shipclass outside of the weight restrictions of the Xeno id?
Thanks in advance.

Seems to about one of the only choices you have, that and the Taiidan, both being sold
by the Zoners on Freeport 11. About the only place you can land out there.

Im finding it quite hard to except that its ok for the Xenos to use a "neutral" ship when there primary ship is bugged but then when the Corsairs do the exact same thing we get sanctioned for it.
Double standards much?.
I feel your pain Xenos.. the Corsairs don't have a light fighter but where forced to fly the bugged ship, I would say its ok to use a neutral ship in our case but the admins wouldn't allow that for the Corsairs so I think they need to make there minds up because its coming across as a tad unfair from this side of the fence.
So I have a question, half-on-topic, half-off-topic, but it isn't worthy of its own thread.
What is with the recent rash of "Who can do this/go here/fly this/own this/beat the crap out of this person" threads lately? Seems to me, simple application of a combination of A. The rules (server or otherwise), B. Common sense and C. Digging through the forums/infocards a little to find out who uses what, shouldn't be that hard. All I really see these posts as being are "How far can I bend the rules to suit my needs."
I realize all of them aren't that, but if we need to question whether a Zoner can use an Outcast dready (just an example), then I think we need to have a big fat "RTFM post."
Personally, I don't think all of the Xenos should use the Taiidan bomber. While the XA have taken the step to limit them to high-ranked members only, practically every single Xenos independent uses the Taiidan. We can assume they are high-ranked also? Use the civilian bomber until then, yes, I know it is crap. My Junker uses one. But next version, you can use a better bomber which is still perfectly in character. Currently, the Taiidan is not. GMG are not friendly with the Xenos, and are not friendly with the majority of the factions I've seen using them (NPC factions, not necessarily official ones).
About Junkers using the Taiidan, I would probably say no. The GMG dislikes the Junkers, as they harbour all sorts of trouble in the Yanagi Debris Field in Sigma 13. I don't think they would let you waltz up to one of their production bases and let you buy it (in RP, in game its sold in an incorrect location).

Hmm. This is saying that the location is wrong, whereas others could easily argue that the location is correct, but the infocard is wrong, really.
It is being used as a stopgap by many factions that should be using the Roc, is all.
' Wrote:I think Dusty Lens agrees on the Tiger Shark, actually. Besides, Fellow Hoodlum okayed it explicitly.
That was my point.
There ok to but the Corsairs can't, on one case the admin ok's it explicitly and on the other case people are sanctioned for doing the same thing, now explain to me how that is a fair way of doing things?.
Maybe some understand now why so many of us are pessimistic about what we get when compared with others, when the rules are manipulated to suit half when it suits them, yet not manipulated when it has nothing to do with them.
For the record I do believe the Xenos should be allowed Taiidans. They were used as a free-for-all bomber in the past. However, they shouldnt be allowed them if the Corsairs aren't allowed the same thing.
