Orbital Spa and Cruise is interested in resolving the fates of the wrecks of Battleship Yukon and the Betheny in Cortez.
We don't think it is proper for those vessels to simply be discarded in space and are investigating several options to either memorialize them or to remove them in a dignified and respectable manner. Currently, we are making preliminary plans to erect a nearby station to serve as a memorial and museum to the Cortez front of the war. We want to allow visitors to pay their respects and to let the dead know that their ships are not forgotten hulks in space but are preserved and honored as war graves. However, the ultimate fate of both ships obviously lies in the hands of the Liberty Navy, and we would not want to do anything without the fleet's blessing.
So what are your intentions for the Yukon and Betheny and how can OS&C facilitate your plans to give them a proper send off or dedication?

Dear Director Seabourne,
Generally, it is ill advised to interfere with left-over materiel from the war as unexploded ordnance or and materiel may pose a danger to untrained personnel. Legally speaking as well, that materiel remains property of Liberty Navy until properly disposed. Standard procedure for the Liberty Navy disposal of such vessels would be breaking them down in our shipyards and scrap the hull. However, due to more pressing issues coming into view in the border worlds, the dismantling operation has not yet been put in motion. The memory of the personnel lost in these vessels and during the war has been immortalized among many memorials and cementaries in the planets of our systems.
On another note, your company's suggestion to build a memorial station and have the wrecks be an authentic part of it will be taken into consideration. However such may only be done once the Liberty Navy has properly cleared the wrecks out of any ordnance and potentially dangerous materiel.
I believe we can maintain correspondence on any updates. Hope that satisfies your question or interest in the matter. If there are anymore questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Best Regards,
Alan Jones
