well, omicron, you are arguing with a person who is, as i pointed out abusing liberty 2.0 on already broken templar in bretonia. i think second BAF| person who does it is black smoke, who is also a balance dev.

Well, you can fly whatever you want. The problem is the line of argument that you are making when you say you care for regional balance while breaking it in game yourself and fully intentionally. And they did this in recent days/weeks.

Well tbh I dont really know about that, but I do agree that saying something was ok when it was restricted to SRPs or official factions but is not ok when everyone can do it is very smelly indeed. Someone said that somewhere. Shame! Shame!

Yet this change was made only in answer to two old year question of the threat of Order and Xenos ever uniting closely enough for this "unholy" combination to exist.

I would not accuse you of hypocrisy, bias and pettiness if it was done at different timing, before all of this mess and instead approach it from more neutral standpoint. The only reason it affects more than just Order-Xenos is that you want to keep your face and moral highground by slapping everyone equally for our sin.

The reason nothing was done about it sooner is because I didn't want to have to deal with a trashfire of a thread like this, Golanski. I was hoping things would blow over and be forgotten about and that we could all move on with our lives. There's probably also a hint of laziness mixed in, because what I'm talking about doing is a lot of work.

So if you want to accuse me of poor conduct as a developer for not wanting to deal with the outcry sooner rather than later, and for not wanting to do a lot of work to effectively facilitate equity which everyone hates, then, yeah, those are real accusations you can make.

But it doesn't have a thing to do with your faction specifically, and we'd be in the same boat if this loophole had been caught when IMG was giving ALG Lhotses. But it wasn't. This is the incident it came to light on. And I'm sorry, that surely sucks for you and the XA, but that doesn't make it a conspiracy.

Well, no, it's a common share between Lib and Bretonia lawful that was a thing during the war that already over and that our fellow balance devs abuse themselves because they care for a regional balance that much.

What about @Haste who mained GRN and was balance lead while the Templar/Magma tech combo was a thing? Why didn't he do anything about it when he wasn't abusing it himself? I can assure you that it did not magically become overpowered by the Templar gaining a slightly stronger powercore.

So the problem are exactly two 7 gun ships that are overpowered and being shared. Let's just target them specifically at 2.0 loadout because they are totally fine to be spread around the map with 4.0 and other loadouts while being totally balanced.

I directly addressed that these two ships were problematic earlier in the thread, as seen here. While we're at it, the Templar is problematic in duels and that's something I've been looking into as well.

I feel like we should also address the fact that things like the Nephthys and Lhotse are still going to be incredibly effective even without the ability to pull off silly gun setups.

These are two ships that are performing very well, and do probably need to be looked at. What I'm not interested in is erasing their identities. While they likely need to be toned down, they're definitely going to remain 7 gunners.
