To be honest I like the idea however if it's gonna be like this we should add one more thing and that's Rheinland. Cuz those two houses have been a constant target by the coalition, so if all Caps are going to be ZOI nerfed then I'd say Bretonia, Omegas and Rheinland. Personaly that's how the indie ID should've been since 2016. As a sacrifice to their sirius wide cap deployment, I think it's fair to add Rheinland into the ID too (Someone mentioned that we have a base in Rheinland yes that's in Stuttgart). Or at least just "Omegas and systems bordering omegas" if Rheinland aint gonna be an option.
I think my ZoI proposal is better than the one that was implemented. Coalition seems more invested in more of Rheinland than Bretonia, and it'd be only fair to let them raid the surrounding systems in capitals (Exeter, Nottingham, Gamma, Theta).
Personally, I think you should give it a week to settle in. These things are only a problem if they're abused. A random Tempest floating around Manhattan isn't an issue, and if anything is a catalyst for activity.
If it becomes a problem, then lock the Tempest to Rheinland, Bretonia, and the Omegas and call it there. Hurricanes and Typhoons outside of those regions have been hit-or-miss, and again, if anything, generate activity.
I actually can't remember the last time I saw a Coalition ship in Liberty, and if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say probably February.
Don't scream if the pipes aren't broken.
EDIT: Didn't actually realize the GMs added a restriction to the ID. I still stand by my post, however.

Would have at least permitted them the Typhoons. It's been long months since indies ever raided stuff, ngl, you just made the entire ID look very unappealing to new players for their playerbase. Especially those with no high investment desires into the game, the basic requirement to climb ranks in OFs, not to mention those who simply see it as casual game, not as hardcore RP/PvP simulator, they'll end up OVERLY restricted again too.
Great job on restricting stuff months too late when it only hits the people that will make abandon their ships, not join OFs to keep using them. Not a big loss in the average guy's scale here, sure, because thinking outside of the "active forum people" bubble must be tough.
Restrictions on Tempests? Get them back. Hurricanes? Make them only capable of attacking stuff outside that ZoI when in group with officials, kinda like Nomads. Typhoons? Let them roam, majority of cap using unlawfuls in Disco are dead enough that a bunch of Typhoons won't hurt anyone, IF THEY EVEN RAID.
Honestly, +1 to this.
As a side note that's been previously mentioned in the thread, if you're going to nerf coalition indie ID back to how it was years ago then you need to take an equal nerf bat to any other IDs with indie caps that have previously had problems with roaming indie caps *COUGH*Outcasts*COUGH*
Seriously, when was the last time there was serious indie coalition lolcaps spam? I certainly havent heard of any.
EDIT: Oh wow, that ID line addition. Whose braindead idea was that?. There goes my plans of exploring Sirius in an indie phoon while RP'in as a long range reconnaissance ship. Way to kill any potential RP for indie caps outside the pewmegas

Because this ID was pretty much pushing locals away, same goes for OC. Must be fun to shoot anything Sirius wide with battleship, more action because you can go anywhere. Same for OCs. Why would you make Rogue Destroyer if you can just buy Typhoon or Storta and shoot people with one ship all over Sirius, instead of being limited just to Liberty. Honestly this Coalition indie was for a second worse than OC ID, which is ZoI restricted and cannot kill as much stuff as Coalition can.
Edit: Have you actually bought Typhoon or is it just the case of I want to play with toy which was taken away. Btw if there wasn't any lolcapspam, then obviously nobody will miss it. NERF OC ID ALSO

I've actually been saving cash to buy one though i guess that's kinda pointless now. I think the better question is: Who was the moron who submitted the request for indie access to the tempest?.
Honestly, the problem isnt with destroyers and cruisers. The problem's with battleships and carriers so here's my suggestion: break up the category into sub-capitals (or light capitals or some such) which will have cruisers, destroyers and potentially BCs (depending on if they're a problem or not). Then you have the Capitals category which would be BSes and carriers.

Adding "Systems bordering Omegas" would actually fix that @Groshyr
