I am not sure if this is a bug, so I would like to see your input so I can decide if it is worth reporting as a bug or not
Did anyone lately (During the past 3 days) try to mine scientific data at the Orkney which is known now by the Brittany system?
The information found on the "Angels" thread says, sector A3/4 close to the edge of the map. I went there 4 days ago and mined one time successfully, then for the past three days, there are no anomalies spawning
I spent hours searching and changing locations all around the A3/4 sector but nothing spawn.
Did anyone face the same problem? or am I doing something wrong?
You need to do it at lower Server Load/Population times.
They appear in the same way as NPCs.

48+ Do not attempt - anomaly spawn time with best methods is < 20 minutes on average.
36-47 - Average wait time of 15 minutes per anomaly. Runners become inefficient.
23-35 - Average wait time of 8 minutes per anomaly. Full efficiency with a runner.
13-22 - Average wait time of 3 minutes per anomaly. Support multiple runners.
12 and below - Average wait time of 45 seconds. Limitation starts to hit nearly equal with scanning limitations.
I think the current specifications should be changed to create more chances. Here is what I think should be the current specs and by the way, is that possible?.
70+ Do not attempt - anomaly spawn time with best methods is < 20 minutes on average.
41-69 - Average wait time of 10 minutes per anomaly. Full efficiency with a runner.
19-40 - Average wait time of 5 minutes per anomaly. Full efficiency with a runner.
9-18 - Average wait time of 1 minutes per anomaly. Support multiple runners.
8 and below - Average wait time of 15 seconds. Limitation starts to hit nearly equal with scanning limitations.
tbh I'd make anomalies part of the missions. So, you dock a research station and take a mission where you farm it. However, this would make anomalies & scidata things really cheap what would ruin or just screw a bit current disco's economy
A little tip for you, if, while you are mining the Anomalies, you find normal NPCs around you, move away from them (about 7k) so that they drop off your scanner.
This, appears, to further enhance the chance that the next 'spawn' is an Anomaly.

Another useful piece of information
Thank you Denis!
