Firstly - This is completly a non issue. Every time a fighter or bomber pilot flies around and sees a a couple of cap ships in succession we get these witchhunt threads - There are not actually that many capships in the game compared to the number of bombers, fighters and traders. This whole "capspamming" crap is hysterical nonsense and exists as a minor itinerant TEMPORARY problem on the server at different times.
IT does NOT warrant a legalistic, controlling freedom-removing law change just to satisfy the players who dont like that class of ship.
Secondly, this idea was proposed months ago and dismissed entirely by the server Admins.
Thirdly - Indies giving factions a bad name? Bollocks, absolute bollocks - factions can do enough to give themselves a bad name, their players get sanctioned as well. However the server has many, many fine faction Role players, as it does indie ones. These broad sweeping statements slandering whole groups of players are just becoming tiresome and sound as ill informed, bigoted and as ignorant as they are.
Fourthly - Argue as much as you like about the ability of a capship to have an "exaggerated" effect on the gameplay, however, cap ships and players who choose to use them - and yes CHOOSE - is the operative word there, because we have a choice, a free one, and we exercised it - are already subjected to more scrutiny, abuse,interrogation and RP requirements than any other class of players on the server. The only other players who possibly had to "prove themselves" more are the keepers or the few carrying the admin approved Terrorist ID. So ENOUGH already.

Completely agree with you I've been looking a lot at the players online page to see how many big caps are on lately and there just isn't that many. Unless they all sneak on when I'm not about my conclusion is also a witch hunt.

Right now as I look at the players online there is exactly [color=#FFFFFFF]ONE[/color] Capital ship online. 5 if you count gbs (and 2 of those were Orcas:crazy:). And that one BS is a player that's on the forums and does some decent ingame RP.
Conversly the RoS (a faction) has 2 Battleships and a few dessies floating around. (they only come out when its a many on one fight anyway). Do we have "too many" ? I don't think so, they're -almost- never seen. I dare say that factions have more capships then indys do.
Besides, I don't want MY stories subject to someone else's approval. Unless it's for a Terrorist style ID and at that point my RP had better be at the level of FANTASTIC anyway.
